Went here with some coworkers for lunch today, and they recommended it because it was vegetarian friendly. Being a vegetarian, I ordered the GARDEN salad (which, per their menu, comes with tomato, cheese, croutons, and cucumber only). The waitress asked me if I wanted to add chicken, I said no thank you. The salad came out, looked delicious, but upon closer inspection, there was BACON on it! Lots of crumbled bacon. No where on the menu did it say bacon, and you would think declining adding meat would make you think not to add bacon? I realized it after the waitress walked away, and I realized I shouldn’t say anything anyway because we had limited time, and I didn’t want to make anyone wait for me and be late for work. It made for an awkward lunch, since they knew I was a vegetarian and felt bad. I wasn’t able to try the delicious looking salad, but I did dip a crouton in the dressing and it was very good ranch. The waitress was friendly, but not very attentive, she only stopped by once after giving us drinks. I took the salad home and my son enjoyed it at least. He said it was good. My coworker who was there a week prior said the waiter she had was so high he looked like he was falling asleep. She called him out on it, and he said “Yeah” and laughed. I understand its a bar, but if you want to be open for lunch, maybe understand families or the elderly may be stopping in and it gives your establishment an unprofessional reputation.
If you have any kind of dietary restrictions, I would not recommend this place. If you’re down for anything, give it a go. I hear all the time how good the food is here, so I bet it is, but unfortunately I am not able to find out.
The atmosphere isn’t my favorite, very dark and you have to walk up a few steps to be seated (unless you want to be at the bar). Its a cool vibe though. I hope if I go back, I get a better experience because that was very awkward and a waste of money.

I don’t like to give a mediocre reviews to a restaurant I really used to enjoy, but Soggys needs to fix some things. The last several times I have been there have not been great. It’s not the food that has me feeling this way, although I have not tasted my takeout I just received, because I am heating it up because it is cold.
The problem is the staff. The last few times I’ve been there it feels like they are going out of their way to ignore me. If they spent half as much time talking to customers as they do talking amongst themselves, everything would be fine. I can see why they have added an automatic 18% tip…people like me were probably not tipping.
It will probably be a while before I go back.
Update: the food was pretty amazing!

Food was great, atmosphere was good, service was good. We were really surprised to see 18% gratuity added to our bill though, it was only 3 of us one of which was our kid. We always tip well so it was okay, I just think they should make people aware of that ahead of time…

I have been hearing great things about this bar and they are all true. It is always great to find a bar burger that is well made and served with a great drink.
I grabbed a porker burger because I can’t pass up pulled pork on a thick beef patty and bacon. This was a full on 3 napkin experience. I also had the poutine fries and a Moscow mule to finish the meal everything was exceptional.
The atmosphere is great located downtown flint. I’m so happy to have found a new lunch spot

This was our first visit. They were packed. Only one side of the bar was open and the only seats available when we first arrived were along the back wall. We ordered drinks and asked our server if she could let us know when a table was available. She said there was a high table and while taking our things over I noticed there was a booth off to the side and asked if it was okay if we sat there. She said the area was technically closed but it would be okay if we sat there. It was perfect because we were able to put my husband’s walker inside the booth and out of the way.
I ordered a bloody Mary and he got an old fashioned, both were AMAZING. I ordered the fried pickles and jalapeno popper egg rolls. They were delicious. The egg rolls were spicy but not overly hot and had a great flavor. The fried pickles were spears which made me super happy. My husband ordered the porker burger and he was equally impressed.
We’ll definitely be back.

By far, one of the best burger joints, we have frequented! The burgers are literally the best around! The atmosphere is exactly what you need if you’re looking to chill and just get away. Five stars!

This is a great bar to go to if you are looking for good drinks and good food! I normally get the blackened salmon burger with truffle fries! Truly a 10 out of 10! The fried pickles are amazing as well. My friend’s love their wings & pretzels! The drinks are worth every Penny! Never a long wait to be seated. I recommend this place if you are looking for a good time!

This was my first visit, so I had to order a number of things from the menu. It all sounded good. I ordered fried pickle spears, a soft pretzel, and a breakfast burger with upgraded fries to poutine. The pickles were good. The batter needed a little more seasoning, but the homemade ranch was good. I would order again. The pretzel was good with beer cheese that had a kick. The burger was amazing, perfect, and a house made patty, not a preformed frozen one. It was great. The poutine was good, a little salty, but I would get it again. I’m not sure if the fries were pre-salted or if the gravy was just salty. I would get them again. My friend got the grilled cheese, which was on a nice light bread that was toasted perfectly and plenty of melty cheese. I look forward to the next time I am in Flint, trying other items on the menu. Service was great as well, fast, friendly, and got everything right. I give props to who was in the kitchen on Saturday, September 7th, in the afternoon. The food was amazing and out quickly. I will be back.
