I had a wonderful experience at El Paso Mexican Grill! ✨ The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and served hot with generous portions. The server was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.
The seating was comfortable and well-arranged, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment. The overall atmosphere was vibrant, clean, and enjoyable, making it a great place to dine with family or friends.

Service was awesome. Our first time here and we lived in Texas so our hopes were high. My wife seafood enchiladas were cheese with shrimp on top. She didnt like the idea of just cheese and she opened up the enchiladas and it was simply cheese. If thats your thing thats perfect but she had high hopes of not eating so much cheese for the price of these plates. My tacos were good, Ive had worst. Other than location, its not a bad place but the food and the price doesn’t match up.

We had a very pleasant lunch at El Paso Mexican Grill on South Sherwood Forest. The atmosphere is comfortable and very casual. Our food was very good, my Polo Loco was delicious and a very generous portion. Our server was very friendly and attentive. A good restaurant with lots of Tex/Mex variety.

My recent visit to El Paso Baton Rouge was a great experience. The food was excellent—we ordered the shrimp tacos with hard corn shells and the steak tacos with soft corn shells. I had the toppings on the side for the steak tacos, and they were still flavorful and well-prepared. The chips and salsa were just right, not too spicy or too salty, making for a great start to the meal.
Our waiter was attentive and prompt from the start, taking our drink orders and bringing chips and salsa to the table quickly. One highlight of the service was when my steak tacos were initially brought out by another staff member with all the toppings on them. Before I even had to say anything, our waiter noticed the mistake, immediately took the plate back, and returned shortly with the correct order. His attention to detail and thoroughness made the dining experience even better.
For drinks, I tried the Mexican martini, which was surprisingly good—even as someone who typically doesn’t drink martinis. The restaurant also featured live cultural music, which added to the overall atmosphere. I’m not sure if the live band plays only on Fridays or multiple days a week, but it was a nice touch. Additionally, the manager personally checked in with us, ensuring we had a great experience.
Overall, I would highly recommend El Paso Baton Rouge to anyone looking for quality Mexican cuisine with fast and attentive service. The food, drinks, and atmosphere all made for an enjoyable visit, and I’ll definitely be returning.

The live music is fantastic two nights a week. $12.99 fajitas all day on Tuesdays. Baria tacos are amazing. Great happy hour!

Dined here with a friend and got the happy plate. She got steak nachos. The Service was great. They were constantly checking on us to make sure we were good but not over checking on us. The atmosphere is very cool. They had a live band playing on Friday night that really set the tone for the restaurant. I’m definitely coming back for another great time!

The place has a great ambient, with live music, musicians that actually know how to play. They play Latin jazz, salsa, and rock (they also take request) The mixed drinks are great, and the ceviche is just right, not too salty or in a puddle of water. The service is great, very attentive waiters. I had a great time.

Wonderful authentic Mexican food. The salsa has a delicious mix of onions, tomatoes, and spices that on the first bite you go yes this dinner will be good. They provide a bean dip too, yum. I ordered the three beef tacos. It came with a bean soup, a chilli sauce, a broth which may have been tortilla soup and Spanish rice. The rice was perfect adding the soup. The tacos were crunchy but slightly soft with a corn flavor. The others dining with me both ordered chick n fajitas. They came as all fajitas do sizzling and smoking. I recommend trying El Paso in Baton Rouge. I hope I will be back soon. I almost forgot, when you leave grab an El Paso mint Togo.
