I took my 10 yr old son to get sushi. Waiter was prompt and went to get honest answers on anything he wasn’t 100% sure on and educated me as we learned a bit together. I appreciate that! Great experience. We didn’t have time foe hibachi ans was so full anyways, but will be back to try their hibachi. I also ordered almond boneless as a back up but ended up packing it to go for lunch the next day.

Food very tasty. The sushi is fresh and nice. Hibachi rice quite flavorful (I took the leftover home and my husband loves it too).
Place very clean and homey. Waiter warm and nice; he came to check on us politely but not too intrusive.

We used to frequent dining in eating the Chinese, probably one of the few families coming for the Chinese. We’ve been getting takeout here and there these as of lately.
Please stop overcooking the chicken in the combination Chinese meals. The meat is dried out in the inside and the crust is so hard! You guys used to be our favorite on this side of town, please fix this issue!

Shogun Japanese Chinese Restaurant has a charming, old-fashioned ambiance, but the food was disappointing. Prices are high for average flavors. The sushi was loosely wrapped and fell apart, and the rice was mushy. After dining, I experienced some stomach discomfort. I wouldn’t recommend this place. People talk about Hibachi table so maybe you should try Hibachi experience instead.

I can’t give enough stars for this place. I wanted some egg drop soup and decided to stop here, and I was wowed by the food and service. Everything was fresh, fast, and super tasty. I recommend you stop here if you want great sushi and Chinese. The decor says it all.

Shogun Restaurant has fantastic food! Always fresh!! The sushi is the best I’ve ever had!! If you’ve been looking for fresh sushi, look no more—this will not disappoint! The steak hibachi is delicious, as is the fried rice. The wait staff and the chefs are always friendly. I’ve been eating here for a few years, and every meal has been top notch…give it a try. You’ll be so glad you did!!

Be prepared for the nickel and diming!! I love hibachi and this has always been one of my favorite places to go. With that being said I haven’t been in a few years due to moving to Port Huron area. My daughter and I took a special trip out there. We substitute the veggies for extra rice. The rice didn’t have much flavor. We did not get the little cups of ginger or yum yum either. When receiving the bill there was 4 charges of 3.95 on top of our $21 chicken. I was confused and had to ask. Apparently you pay extra now for fried rice and because of the substitution we had double charges each. I understand everything is more expensive but I wish it was told that the fried rice is extra. They also add the tip on the bill and it says service charge. I almost didn’t catch that one.
We also had a group of girls who shared our table. It was one of their birthdays. They had told the waitress in which her reply was just Happy Birthday. They obviously wanted to sing or do whatever restaurants do. They did not go above and beyond at all. It was very disappointing and I will not be back.
