We came here for a Sunday brunch.
The atmosphere is wonderful.
The food & service were great.
The guy playing music did a wonderful job.

I did find out it is 150.00 per adult to get a day pass and it only includes the pool.

Jack Dusty is really a great place! Every time I come here, the food is consistently delicious, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The servers here are kind and welcoming. And of course, being at The Ritz-Carlton adds its own magic. I love wandering around the property before or after a meal it’s truly stunning and peaceful but even though I’ve spent a lot of money here I am not always greeted with respect by the employees on property. This has happened a few times Esp considering I have family that lives at the residencey here/are members. Which is the only reason it’s getting 4 stars from me Other than that if you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere, Jack Dusty is truly a standout. Highly recommend.

Nice place but expensive and the food was not worth the price. We were expecting to be blown away with amazing flavors with the entree, but this dish was a flop for me. For starters, we had their bread in a can with rum butter. The bread was bland and lacked any flavor. Was chewy and grainy and stuck to your teeth. Yet, they raved about how good it was. Then we had seafood chowder and calamari. The chowder was delicious and just the right amount of spice. The calamari was delicious and was cooked to perfection in a light and fluffy batter. For the entree, we had pan seared grouper. This was a total disappointment. For $51 a plate, I expected nothing less than exceptional taste. It was not. The fish was over cooked, the glazed carrots were bitter instead of sweet, and the sauce, whatever that was, added a tainted flavor to the dish. I don’t know why this “executive chef” would put out such a flavorless dish and ruin a good piece of fish. They should spend more time on flavor than presentation. Has anyone bother to taste the dish? It left a bitter and dry taste in your mouth. I could have made it better myself for a fraction of the cost. I mean, if you’re gonna charge high dollar for a dish, it better be spot on. The dessert was the best part of the meal. You must try the Dark Chocolate Myakka Orange Brulee. Amazing! Was it worth the $137 for the entire meal. Absolutely not. The waitress Amanda was great. Would I dine here again. As a local Sarasota resident, NO! I’ve had much better food at home or at a reasonably priced restaurant for less than $50. Jack Dusty is over priced, over hyped and subpar our first time experience. I’m sure other dishes are good. Lastly, the menu online doesn’t not match the menu you received at your table.

Came for brunch. I was the only one who ordered off the menu; the rest got the buffet. Now don’t get me wrong I love a good buffet and this one looked great, but I preferred not to eat like a glutenous pig, so I got the avacado toast with eggs over easy and a side of bacon. Absolutely delish and the trimmings on top of the toast were spot on. My tastebuds thanked me and washed it all down with a great cup of cappuccino.

Here for the first time to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I found this place by googling Best Seafood Restaurant in Sarasota. It is located in the Ritz Carleton Hotel which is situated right on the harbor with great views. Complimentary Valet parking was handy since there is no parking nearby. We were seated immediately outside with a nice view of the harbor. Our server Brooke made our experience we wonderful. The menu is limited but that is not necessarily a negative. We were waited on by a team of servers. I ordered a Negroni and my wife had a gin and tonic. We had the shrimp cocktail which I felt was not as fresh as it could be. I was expecting jumbo shrimp but they were average size. A highlight was the brown maple bread which came backed in a tin cake. Brooke served us explaining the origin of the bread and the name Jack Dusty. My wife had the mahi mahi which she said was delicious. I had the Red Snapper. It was a huge serving. I had filled up on the shrimp and bread. The bar looks like a good happy hour spot. Some people came just for drinks. Dress is casual. This will be a good place to bring company. Oh, my wife got her pick of desserts and the recipe for the bread. I’m

Amazing food. Great views. Wonderful service. Drinks were great as well. We were blown away at the portion of lobster they gave us. They were very accommodating and created a special plate even though it wasn’t specifically on the menu. Perfect place for sunset dinner.

Sooo, Jack Dusty was surprisingly good! I’m usually skeptical about hotel restaurant, there’s often a high chance of high prices and bland food, but this one delivered.

We had dinner, dessert, and breakfast here and enjoyed all of it. Tried a few different things on the menu, no clear favorite, but everything was solid. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout.

Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area or staying at the hotel!

Rude treatment. Asked the Karell at host desk where my party should sit and we were told “anywhere” and we were not even paid attention too. We got our drink and when we sat down they made us get up as “this section was not available”. The entire restaurant was empty. The bar was also full and they told me we can sit anywhere…The people at the host desk weren’t doing anything but talking. Very upsetting experience.

went to dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I called in advance to make a reservation and informed them that it was his birthday.

Upon arrival, the staff wished him a happy birthday at the entrance. However, we were informed that only a limited menu was available. I asked for recommendations since the dishes I had previously seen were not on that menu. We were advised to order a burger, which we did. It was okay, but I expected more given the standard of the place.

At the end of the meal, we were asked if we wanted anything else and the check was brought. There was no further acknowledgment of the birthday, such as a dessert, a drink, a card, or any special gesture.

Considering the level of the hotel and restaurant, I expected a more thoughtful experience. I have celebrated birthdays in many places, and unfortunately this did not meet the expectations for a special occasion. The restaurant is beautiful, but for me, it’s the small details that truly make the difference.
