So nicely surprised, what an excellent place to have fun and great food. You have to go there for lunch, I believe that pizza is only served from 4 pm. Pizza thin crust, so far the best in Alaska that I had, chicken wings to die for. Service staff is so nice and friendly, kudos to all.

A little off the main street and worth the extra steps. Nice variety of beers on tap. We tried several IPAs and two different stouts. Our hand-tossed pizza was loaded with toppings and perfectly cooked. Our two sandwiches (one ranch chicken, one halibut) were delicious, and the portions were good, not skimpy. If you like shoestring fries, you’ll be happy…crisp and hot. You won’t go hungry at the Hungry Beaver. The staff was friendly, attentive (but not hovering), and even brought our dog water and carrots to snack on while we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. A Wrangell winner.

Went for lunch. Ordered the BLAT. Great sandwich on a hoagie. I chose my side to be Jojos aka fried wedges. Crisp outside, soft inside ♡ enjoyed the memorable painted ceiling tiles. You can tell that this location has been in the community for decades and I love that!! Pizza started at 4pm that day.

A gal pal of mine took me out for drinks and food, we had the Chicken cuprese, the Philly cheese steak, criscut fries and steak fries and holy smokes! The food was remarkable ever since they changed the menu it’s been super yummy! I never really had more than pizza there because the food there was over priced and lackluster (no offense !) , when the second boss of the bar showed me the Mac and cheese sauce to dip our sandwiches, I fell in love! (Cheesy I know), but I know I’ll be eating more of the menu over there as time goes on

Excellent pizza with our choice of pepperoni, sun-dried tomatoes, and black olives. Very good service from a waitress that apologized right way for a staff shortage. She gave us valued conversation and wonderful service. In conversation we found her family lives near us in North Carolina. Hungry Beaver Pizza is definitely worth the walk past other pizza places to eat in Wrangell.

We were visiting the area on a fishing trip and our guides took us here for pizza. Before going, we explained to him we were from Buffalo, NY and we’d be hard to please when it comes to pizza. Well – we ended up very happy. Excellent pies! Well stocked bar with plenty of options. Plus – there’s a ton of cool memorabilia on the walls and ceiling.
