Raw Truth!
I first went to “Plenty of Fish” on 15th Street. I had been there numerous times. First thing I noticed is that the marquee showing prices was not on. Then I noticed that there were no printed menus. I asked the clerk if they had a menu as she pointed to a menu taped next to the cash register. Then I noticed that all the prices had been marked out with the black magic marker.
I asked her why there were no prices on anything. She then said that the prices had changed and asked me what I was interested in. I said i’m potentially interested in everything but I need to know the prices to determine what I want. (Common sense.) Then, realizing, this was futile. I just as for the price on the fishing and shrimp combo. I was expecting that there had been an exorbitant price increase. I suspected that there had been an exorbitant price increase or perhaps they were testing the market. They did not disappoint , when they told me the price.
That’s what I realized the real reason that they dared not print their prices or show them on the marquee.
Why i’m telling this story about plenty of fish here? Because this is where I ended up after leaving plenty of fish without ordering anything.
And this is where I will be coming back to anytime I decide that I want some fried fish and shrimp. I will never ever ever go to plenty of fish ever again. …EVER!
I realize that with inflation , the price of many things has gone up. But I don’t like being pimped due to people’s greed.
Play the fish used to be my go to place, but now it is Dede’s. Not only is the food , much better here, but it is also significantly less expensive. And and even more importantly , they give you significantly more food for less money.
I paid a lot less for the catfish and shrimp that I wanted and I received a lot more than I would have gotten from Plenty of Fish.

I have been passing by this place for a while and finally decided to try it out I got the 3 full wing combo with a side of coleslaw and damm it was good it’s so hard to find good coleslaw and the chicken was seasoned and cooked perfect the lady’s in there were very nice really welcoming good vibes definitely coming back ! (Best coleslaw I ever had I love coleslaw btw lol)
