We ordered two filet mignon steaks on my wife’s birthday. They bring out two 1/2” thick well done slabs of some steak cut that was 100% not a filet. We politely complained. The “manager” comes out with an attitude, we remain polite. He gets defensive and proceeds to bring out a pan of actual raw filet mignon steaks from the back which, in comparison, only proved our point even more that the slab of jerky we got was not a filet. He ruined my wife’s birthday with his argumentative attitude. We were treated like his employees, who no doubt do not like him as they were laughing behind his back while he made a fool of himself. This was on 2/21/26, and I sure hope he reads this.
This was by far the worst steak and restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We used to go once a month. We will never go again.
They’re OK at bbq, but should take filet’s off the menu. If your cook has to butterfly them (as was stated to us but we knew better because we have eyes and taste buds) then you shouldn’t be cooking filets, plain and simple because it’s Busch League to cut a filet in half to cook it.

Really cool place. They have an outside area for bands and events. With a huge stage, fireplace and VIP area. There’s also a cupcake store as you enter the restaurant. The kids said their cupcakes was awesome! Our food was excellent and our my steaks was cooked to perfection. Potato salad and it was to die for. You got to try it it’s a must. All in all everything was great we had a good experience. Don’t sleep on this place! I can see this being the happening place during the summertime!

We visited Silver Star Steakhouse while in town based on local recommendations, but overall, the experience was disappointing. I ordered the Smokehouse Burger with brisket, and while it was okay, the patty was overcooked and dry, and the brisket was also slightly dry.
We also tried the large sampler appetizer. It was decent, but nothing stood out. The two-meat platter we ordered included ribs and pulled pork—the ribs were just okay, lacking flavor, and the pulled pork wasn’t very moist. The loaded baked potato was good, but the mediocre meat overshadowed it.
The kids got chicken fingers, which were also a bit dry. Service was fine, though splitting the appetizer across the table without asking was unexpected.
On a positive note, the atmosphere was very nice, and the bathrooms were clean, which we appreciated. However, the meats need improvement—better moisture and flavor would make a big difference. While the ambiance was great, I’m not sure the quality of the food justifies the higher cost.

I had heard good things about this place and it’s been on my list of places to try for quite a while.
The parking lot was full when I stopped in for lunch but I was seated quickly the place wasn’t packed. I’m my usual manner, I struggled with what to order. I really wanted to try the 3 meat plate but settled on the Brisket Sandwich paired with onion rings and coleslaw.
The food came fairly quickly and I tried the onion rings first which were a little limp and not very crispy. The slaw is definitely not homemade with grandma’s recipe, it’s straight from a prepackaged container. Take a hard pass on that. The brisket sandwich was just average sized on a rather plain bun. I got the brisket chopped and it had a smoky enough flavor but will really need to try the sliced to see how it measures up to the best joints I’ve tried in Texas.
So my first go at this place was rather underwhelming. I’ll probably go back at some point to try the 3 meat platter plus a could different sides and see if that changes my opinion on anything. As for now, it definitely doesn’t compete with the great places in Texas.

First time visiting this establishment and had a great time for our one-year anniversary. Besides it being chilly there, the food, customer service, and location were awesome. We made a reservation, and they showed us to our table as soon as we made it at that appointed time. Oh, we think they should serve bread with your meal (one that’s not a sandwich meal, of course) My husband said the only other thing he has to say about the restaurant is his wife really looked good in that burgundy dress…lol.

The quality of food is not worth the price. We had the ribs and brisket and both were overcooked and dry, even though it was not even busy at time. You’d be better off cooking for yourself or going somewhere else. The appetizer combo platter was OK though

The quality of food has gone down and lack of pride in what they serve. I placed a to go order today that included a chopped beef potato and a side of au gratin potatoes. Half of the baked potato was black and rotten. The chopped beef was way more fat than meat. The au gratin potatoes were overly burnt. Previously, the food was better. I do hope they start producing better food like before.

My husband and I visited here for Valentine’s Day. Yes, I know. We called ahead and they called us back whenever our table was ready so when we arrived, we were sat right away. We placed our order, but after about 45 minutes passed, we noticed that people who were sat after us started receiving food. We waved down our server and asked about our order, and she assured us it wouldn’t be long. 15 more minutes passed, and nothing. She came back over apologetically and informed us that somehow our ticket got lost. Next, the manager comes over and apologizes and reassures us that our order was being made expeditiously and offered to buy us drinks and appetizers. We declined, but they still brought over an appetizer. At this time, we had two servers attending to us. What seemed like a bad experience turned out to have a fairy tale ending. We were the last people left on our side of the restaurant, so it felt like the night just belonged to us. They were very adamant about making the night special, and the mission was accomplished. It was a simple mistake that was addressed promptly and sufficiently. We’ll definitely go back because the food was superb!
