It was a beautiful day on a Wednesday at noon, the restaurant outdoor seating just opened. The server was very attentive and showing me the lunch special. The location is very tourist but the 15 euro lunch special is solid. It included bread, main course, drink and coffee. I have order shrimp pasta and it was tasty. You will not be disappointed coming here for lunch!

Open late and very patient with tourists, but the price was very high for the poorly presented/seasoned food. My shrimp salad was drenched in a super sweet dressing while the octopus came with a single tentacle and overcooked/mushy spinach. Service and atmosphere were great and our drinks were fantastic. Mixed bag really.

Very good restaurant in Lisbon.
Excellent food. The staff is super-kind. There has been a minor misunderstanding but the personnel was so kind that we could skip that little issue.

Ended up here as we got lost in another country!!! It was one of the best adventurous ends… If you don’t know, Portugal is extremely hilly! Coming back from shopping, my wife and I got so lost and ended up walking up and down many hills. I decided we would stop, find something to eat, and ask for directions. We ended up at Mar ao Camo. Oh, Boy… were we happy! I will say that this was one of the best meals we had during our time in Lisbon. We both had salmon, potatoes, and roasted veggies. The salmon was fresh and cooked to perfection! The entire dish was well seasoned and just good! The atmosphere was cozy, and the service above par. I definitely recommend the little gem.

The carpaccio was delicious. The seafood rice however was very average. The flavour was just okay and extremely peppery. The seafood was also overcooked with lots of empty shells. They should also provide an extra bowl for all the shells as our dinner plates were filled with shells making it difficult to eat.

Really enjoyed the food here! All the fish was superrr fresh! Highly recommend the octopus salad, it was some of the best octopus I’ve ever had. The Bacalhau à Brás was so good as well, really wanted to try it as it’s a staple of Portuguese cuisine, and was not disappointed at all! Staff was also very friendly. Overall, highly recommend!

Octopus carpaccio was good, nothing spectacular – the salad on top of the octopus is a random addition. It should be put to the side. The fish soup however was foul and leaves a foul tasting grease to your mouth. The service was okay and the atmosphere outside was good. This restaurant is too expensive for what it is. I paid 33 euro for octopus carpaccio, fish soup and their most basic vinho verde.

Quiet Sunday night when we entered with one other table occupied. Ordered 3 seafood dishes and they were all decent. Not terrible where you would complain about but also not great. Service was normal in the beginning. Took a turn when we asked for the bill and they demanded a 10% service fee. We’ve been to a dozen restaurants in Lisbon and this is the first time we’ve asked to pay a 10% tip. Tourist beware!

Well, we have been in Lisbon for a few days and this is the most overrated and overpriced place we’ve been. The veal was 29€, look at the size compared to the dipping plates next, that amount of octopus salad was 13€. And about the wine, I got half glass. Food tasted average but the prices are through the roof. This place is absolutely a tourist trap.

Best freshest seafood in Lisbon.

Been to Lisbon several times, this place takes the prize. Highly recommended by my German conductor friend.

The crab roe rice is unlike anything I’ve had. Female stone crab mixed with onion, miniature rice. With shrimp, clam, mussel, soaked in a fresh thyme garlic butter.

Octopus marinated in olive oil was also rather great. Enough to break my carb free diet got 10 days.

Tomatoes based seafood soup was also complex and delish.
