Tuesday night after snowmagedon 2026 and the food was absolutely delicious
We had wings, brisket, turkey, chicken, some sides. All of it was great. The bark and smoke on the brisket was incredible. Definitely ranks top 3 outside of Texas for me personally.
The staff though? From the moment I walked in until I left, I was welcomed with smiles and sincerity.
Portions were definitely more than plentiful on everything.
I will definitely return when I’m back in the area (hopefully it’s warmer next time)

Wonderful restaurant! My wife and I visited here for the first time today. No complaints whatsoever. Everything from the appetizer to the main course was fantastic. Some of the best barbeque I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back again.

Started out great after seeing the reviews here… never expected to be writing this one.

Made my order online, after which the website gave me an eta of 45 minutes to pick up the meal.
Considering the way this food would have been prepared i figured it could be done faster but due to doubt, i decided to call and get a more accurate eta. The person who picked up the phone first, answered the phone with announcing the establishment and asking for name i wanted to place on my order. I may be nitpicking NOW, after the fact: what an idiotic assumption to think everyone who calls is ordering; price checks, opening/closing time verification, etc, are reasons other than ordering why people call a restaurant but, I digress.

I say to her “ I already have an order, i placed it online” I gave her my name, told her it would be the name on the order, and then I asked: “could I be given an eta on the order so i can know when to leave home?” Her response was an attitude filled with”EXCUSE ME?!”, so i repeated myself. Before i could finish the question the second time i was hung up on.
I called back it seems she answered again but the voice sounded slightly different so I am not sure. The second person asked for assistance and eventually someone told me 20 minutes.
I did speak to a manager on said issue, and the manager was as “respectfully dismissive” as can be; making me feel absolutely no less unwelcomed, unappreciated, or disrespected than i felt before walking in the building.

I held out hope for the food while standing in the old building that seems to really need a refurbishing campaign.
The smells from my bags were promising….. i was terribly misled.
All the flavors I smelled were on the fries….. the fries????
The Pulled Pork and Brisket were both very tender, moist, easy to go down on the palate.
The problem is, they were both as BLAND as can be, there was no seasoning at all.
To be fair we tried the meats without sauce, then with their “simple bbq sauce” and the sauce tasted like watered down BBQ sauce. We eventually used some sauce from our pantry which enhancer the flavors significantly. The fries, which were OVERSEASONED, got a bit of sweetness that overshadowed the seasoning just enough to make them bearable.
The meats became better after adding salt and pepper which tells me they definitely have them on the tables and if they dont, THEY NEED TO!

All in all this was my birthday meal…. I should’ve went to Smokey Bones…. Sadly the Robinson Branch closed and i didn’t feel the drive to Cranberry so here we are..

First time and last time to Bowsers.

Edit: Pics look great? Tell me you don’t know Bbq any better.
Perhaps not hanging up the phone on customers fixes the problem?
Or continue hanging up on customers, you’ll just continue to lose more.

Dropped to a one star

Still won’t be back

A solid place. Good price. I had grilled cheese with brisket in it and it was pretty good. Mac and cheese wasn’t very cheesy. Brisket was good. The burger was excellent and great size. The fries were excellent

Very good food!! Smoked meats were all excellent. One order of fresh-cut fries was enough for 3 people!! I got 2 more meals from my order, then gave the rest to hubby to finish. The lady that waited on us was very personable, and we guaranteed we’d be back. Definitely 5-star.

We had a very knowledgeable and friendly server. The seating is very open. It could get loud here if busy. We went late on a week night, after shopping at the nearby mall. Our food was good. Our server told us about the different sauces and brought sample cups to try flavors we were interested in(possibly all the flavors). On a carnivore diet I found options that worked for me. We don’t make it here often but we would definitely go back. Hubby got the smoked beans with his order and they were very good.

You want BBQ…this is the place. In town and never stayed in Monaca, but this was across the street from the hotel. And it didn’t disappoint. Fresh smoked brisket with spicy habenaro, the best sweet heat seasoned fresh cut fries and homemade coleslaw. I’d come back next time near here. Thanks Bowser’s!

Hubby and I had the brisket plate. I asked for their spiciest BBQ sauce. It was wacky to sweet for me- but I cant tolerate sweet and savory together. I opted for just plain jalapeños. The brisket was tender and juicy enough that it didn’t need sauce. Hubby liked the habenera sauce. I picked the Mac and cheese and cole slaw. The cole slaw was good, but it did have a touch of sweetness. Hubby loved it. I thought the mac and cheese was excellent. His sides were the salad which was crispy and not wiltednor brown, and the French fries. The fries had a sweetness to their Cajun seasoning. When I go back, I’d order the seasoning only on hubby’s half. All in all it was very good. I’m a picky eater, I know, but I’d go back for the brisket and Mac n cheese.

Never expected to be leaving this negative of a review, we ordered takeout and it was fast and we picked up everyone was friendly and we were excited to get back and eat, everything smelled great and looked even better, but hope was gone after the first bite, I got brisket and pork from the 2 meat platter and chilli fries meat was bone dry and the sweet sauce was straight vinegar, may as well have given us a gallon of distilled vinegar and sawdust, the fries were ok, coming from Ohio expecting some good food to be disappointed, city bbq puts this place to shame, I expected a restaurant that’s not a chain to be incredible. I don’t leave reviews ever but hopefully someone sees this before spending $35 to be as disappointed as my coworkers and I were, will be stopping at Wendy’s on the way to work
