At first, we were skeptical about a seafood restaurant not being at a beachfront location. Nevertheless, after so many references, we had to try this one out. The facilities are simple and smaller than usual, but everything else they offer makes up for that aspect. First, the service was excellent. Paola and Crystal were extremely friendly and efficient. They prepared the best Mojito we’ve ever had. Then, the food. The owner told us he had picked up some live lobsters hours earlier, so we went for it. We were so glad of our choice! Excellent flavor and tenderness. We picked ours stuffed with shrimp and octopus. Wow! No words will make it justice, so we are posting a picture for reference. Definitely local gem that goes beyond everyone’s expectations. They do great where it really counts, food and service.

Went to Michael’s Seafood Restaurant in Vega Baja today (Jan 11, 2026) to celebrate wife’s birthday. We were a party of 6. After paying with credit card, went to the bathroom and when I started to walk out the door this lady employee made hand gestures and screams at me and tells me I did not pay. I guess she thought I was walking out without paying.I magine everybody in the restaurant heard her. I have never felt so embarrased. I kept my cool and told her I did pay and that I had a receipt, but I guess she did not believe me because she went inside and found the payment receipt. She didn’t even offer me an apology for her mistake and my embarrasement. The amount I payed amounted to $185.00. This is the first time I have gone to this restaurant and the last. They just lost six customers. This employee has an additude problem because that is no way to treate a customer. Employees like this turn customers away.

Food was alright, very salty and drinks very sweet. The wine glass was dirty, the extra plate was dirty. It’s not anything special and there’s better restaurants at this price range all over the island. The service was actually very nice, not overly welcoming and not completely ignoring us.

Food: we ordered the shrimp & mofongo with garlic sauce. Really good maybe the best mofongo we have had not dry at all and plenty of flavor.
Husband order the mahi mahi need a little sauce I think it’s steamed so if you add a little sauce like the garlic butter sauce it’s really good, however the beans and rice were yummy.
Tosones are good, they are nice and thin not thick
Dessert we had the vanilla flan it was good.
Service: I thought the guy did a great job, he didn’t know much English and we know very little Spanish so with that being said we got what we ordered and it came quick. The inside isn’t fancy but there is AC and the restrooms are clean I will include the inside picture.
They have inside and outside dinning, so if you want ac you have to let them know.
We would come back here for sure!

I had the lobster with shrimp with Mofongo. Always wanted to try mofongo, it was world-class cooking. I enjoy the food. Definitely will be coming back. Nice small restaurant and parking too.

You want FRESH, TASTY seafood, this is the spot!!! The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. The service was a little slow, but it was truly worth it in the end.
They had a special so I ordered it, come to find out it as a lobster and shrimp combo. My wife had the (Chillo) fish of which she truly enjoyed.
This will definitely be a go to stop each and every time I visit the island from now on.

Ordered lobster stuffed with shrimp, octopus and ‘carrucho’ and everything was chewy, dry, overcooked. Chef definitely doesn’t know how to cook seafood. Previous reviews are misleading unless those who rated it are not used to eating fresh and properly cooked seafood. And you could tell that the mofongo was made with ripe plantains instead of green plantains.
