As the leaders in drive-thru for over 30 years Checkers & Rally’s locations are currently open and ready to serve our guests. We can provide our guests with the additional safety of an enclosed kitchen and limited personal contact – whether you choose to drive up, order ahead online, or have our food delivered. In response to concerns around the Coronavirus we have closed the few dining rooms that exist in the Checkers & Rally’s system and are limiting the number of people on our patio and at our walk-up windows. We are reinforcing our policies, including frequent and proper handwashing, along with the proper utilization and changing of gloves as we continue to serve our guests.

Night time vibes here are a manner in the city.
This Grand Rapids location is a staple in the community as a fastfood restaurant near ‘easttown’. Located on the famous Michigan Medical Mile. This vintage restaurant is a classic taste of good ‘ol Burgers, Seasoned French Fries and wings.
Try a shake to go or one of the other assorted menu items. Late night or early afternoon. Many people service this restaurant with a smile that is given up on payment.
Tonight, I tried mozzarella sticks at store #1077 and I’ll say they sure were fried with a delicious delightful touch. Fried golden brown and served with Marinara sauce.
If you have a large order to place I would call

Ordered a special. Burger fries, then ordered overpriced chicken strips. The bad was soaked with grease on bottom as soon as they handed it to us. The strips were black, hard and absolutely unedible. Like they were fried in tar. Obviously really old nasty oil. I’ve been in food service so I know old grease…We returned to get money back but they gave us meal back the same way. Black strips. Disgusting the guy who remade it knew they messed up and was really friendly and polite.

I was a little surprised when I approached the drive thru and was greeted by an AI prompt. I thought it was just the initial greeting that was AI, but it was AI throughout the entire ordering process, which was honestly kind of weird, but not necessarily a bad thing. I was, however, disappointed that the regular fry was so tiny and only filled halfway, leaving me still hungry but at least it was fairly fresh and I love the shakes so I guess it is what it is.

I was very disappointed with how downhill checkers went. First of all, I waited in the drive thru for 35 minutes and there were only 2 cars in front of me the whole time. Second, when you get up to the drive thru, it’s not a person taking orders, it’s AI or something. Every time I said an item it kept trying to make me order it for a bigger size. I kept having to say no. I ordered my meal and the price seemed a bit higher than I expected. Turns out it upcharged me and made my meal large when I said medium. When I got home, I started eating my burger and it had exactly what I had asked to not be on the burger (I said no mayo and no mustard). Not only that, but I got the fry lovers burger and half the fries in it were hard as a rock. I bit down and my partner sitting next to me was like “what was that”, the crunch was so loud because the fries were burnt. My burger was not fresh at all. Everything was so salty and my drink was watered down. I paid $27 for everything and almost the whole order was wrong and quality was poor.

Ordered meal in the Checkers app for pick-up and when I arrived I was told that it was sent out for delivery even though I’ve never ordered a delivery. The woman (manager) said I needed to leave without my food even after showing my license and my order in the Checkers app. It showed my order was for pick-up in the app. It didn’t matter, none of the employee’s seemed to understand how the Checkers app works and didn’t seem to care whatsoever. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced at any fast food place ever. I contacted Checkers and am still waiting for my refund and an explanation a week later.

These were the saddest and crunchiest dried out chicken strips ever. That bbq sauce wasn’t going to save those strips! This was my first time eating at checkers and I wouldn’t go back. The people weren’t friendly and the food was gross. I see other reviews about this same place recently and their food looks just as bad! Whoever the manager / owner is needs to do something.

Waited in line about 15 minutes. When I got my food I didn’t realize half of it was missing. I was missing my wings. I looped back around and there was only one car at the window ahead of me. I waited another 15 minutes just to pull up to the window for them to say they were out of wings. Cheeseburger was slapped together really nasty and cold. Loaded fries were in a huge pool of grease.

I’ll preface this review by admitting I only go here late night. Usually some time past midnight so maybe that is what the issue is, but, I NEVER get a hot burger. I would be ok with lukewarm even, but it feels like it was pulled from a refrigerator. Only way to have a chance at hot food is to order items that are fried. And even then it’s 50/50. I’m also never going to complain in the moment because there is usually a long line and let’s be honest, the workers don’t care.

Overall i give them a ZERO star!!! I ordered a extra large fry a burger meal and a BLT BURGER MEAL and when they gave us the bag i asked was everything in there and they said yes. When i get home i only have a piece of bacon a slice of tomato and some lettuce!!! And when i called to tell them their customer service what TERRIBLE the dude was being VERY RUDE and they told me a patty does NOT come with that burger like i havent gotten that exact meal before. The guy also false claimed that he was the manager after i asked to speak with them because he was so rude . AFTER he hung up in my face
