Punky’s Bar & Grill is an LGBTQ-owned neighborhood restaurant and bar located on Central Ave at the western end of the Grand Central District in St Petersburg, Florida. Our friendly staff serves up a variety of food choices including fabulous burgers, our famous wings, and specialty foods created in-house which makes it not your everyday bar food. Guests have the option of dining indoors or on the outside patio with plenty of TV’s for you to watch music videos, sports or news. On Tuesdays you can participate in Charity Drag Queen Bingo! Punky’s patio is pet friendly, and you can even treat your pup to a puppy patty! While you are in the neighborhood, stop by Punky’s for some local craft beers, cocktails and delicious food!

Good food. Great service. We got the Cuban with the sweet chili mac and cheese, and the Club with sweet potato fries, and a bloody Mary. The bloody Mary was perfect. My son didn’t like the Mac n cheese, but I thought it was divine. Both sandwiches were tasty and good. We will definitely try it again.

Talk about an experience.. this place has a happy hour from 11am- 7pm and each perfectly mixed drink comes with a token for a free drink during those happy hours. Now on to the food. That stuff came out fresh off the heat and was ever so tasty. **They are part of the LGBTQ community, so if that lifestyle offends you then you’re seriously going to miss out by not giving them a chance** The employees are exceptionally kind and helpful. A patron brought their dog inside in a carry stroller and the bartender brought over a bowl of water for said doggy!! So freaking sweet. Now if only I could move to St. Pete, FL and have this food and environment often. Don’t worry, I’ll certainly be back! Also the gayest store on the planet mobile unit is typically not there, we went during their weekend of Pride celebrations (which should be on everyone’s bucket lists)

When to Punky’s Bar/Grill for the first time, was greated by Andy, He was very friendly and personable. I was to amazed to see that every staff member from the bartender to the cook, server are wearing a mask. That is so awesome to see that they really care about there guest. Than came Michael our sever he too was very personable and pleasant. We asked for recommendation on Burgers and Sandwiches, he was very honest with us. I had the Punky Russian, and Ozzie had the Punky’s Cuban.Both sandwich was out of this world. I would of given them at 10. But 5 was the highest. I would really recommend this place. So if you havent been please stop by and say hello to Andy and Michael and have a bite to eat. Start with fried green tomatoes.

When Punky’s 1st open they had really good food and awesome service. Our last visit was for breakfast was a big disappointment. I had order the breakfast burrito which was cold and the homefries was greasy. Then the drinks that they served was only half full. Our waiter looked like he had a hangover from the night before and joked about it. With all the nice restaurant’s on Central Ave. I definitely would think twice before going back to Punky’s. 🙁

First time at Pinky’s Bar and Grill, was greeted by Andy, he was very friendly and personable. We order the fried green tomatoes with punky special sauce it was out of this world. Than came out server Michael another friendly and personable person, to my surprise I notice that very staff member was wearing a mask, Specially even the kitchen staff. I had the punky Russian sandwich, it was a little 1000 island but it was a quick fix. I still give it a 10. Ozzie had the punky Cuban and we give it a 10. The service was great. If you never been, than it is a most. It’s nice to see that even some restaurants are wearing mask.

I ordered food from here on bitesquad and I am sorry I haven’t ordered food here a lot sooner! Everything was amazing. I ordered the fiery burger medium rare with spicy waffle fries. And my boyfriend got the build a basket. My burger was to die for but the fries were so delicious! I usually don’t like waffle fries but holy moly it was so delicious. My boyfriend also got the spicy waffle fries with nacho cheese and meat topped with the aioli sauce. That was also delicious. I was impressed with the taste of everything. We both said we will definitely need to order food here more often.
