Honestly I’ve come to Maciano’s many times and I’ve ordered from them serval times for take out. I’ve come to only order pizza from this place. Every time I try pasta I get super disappointed. The Pasta sauces are always soooo watery! I decided to try a simple angel hair and meat sauce today hoping to not be disappointed, and I couldn’t have been more sad about my decision. I don’t know who makes the sauces for the dishes but honestly I have never had anything this bad. I wish I could’ve uploaded a video to show how watery this meat sauce is. Someone please change the recipe or hire someone who can make sauce well.

My first Chicago style pizza in Chicago. It was HUGE. I got the small ($30) it was worth it. I could only eat a slice. Easily feeds 2-3 people. It was pretty good. The only thing I would say is for delivery drivers to make sure they read if its a no contact order and special instructions i.e “please leave at the door”. As a single traveling woman, it’s important to me and my safety if the deliverying person isnt knocking and knocking, waiting for me to open my hotel room door. It was a little awkward for me. It puts a spot light on me to either A. Tell them to leave it at the door or B. Quickly turn on the hotel shower and open the door, as though someone else is in the room. A brings more attention to me, option B seems the most normal. So I opened the door.

The pizza has plenty of cheese, and the flavor is really well balanced! My favorite was the pepperoni with bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms. It’s a great option to treat yourself while enjoying a delicious pizza in a very cozy atmosphere.

This was my 1st visit to Maciano’s. Despite being in a strip mall, the establishment was well decorated and inviting.
Service was pleasant and efficient. I tried the lasagna as my 1st dish as it’s a favorite.
Well, the plate looked great, however once I tasted the dish, I found that it was was waaay over-salted. In my culinary travels, I try to spot clues to what my dinner may reveal. For example, I have been to several pubs / eateries that do not place any salt or pepper shakers on the tables. I take note and almost always, the food reflects the fact that my meal has been seasoned by the chef, perfectly! I usually pay attention to the condiments provided at the table. So when my meal was closer to a salt lick than fine Italian dining, I noted that the tables within my area had pepper shakers, but not one salt shaker was noted.
The presentation of the meal was great, however someone either does not know how to season food properly or no one tastes before presenting to the table.
Hopefully, this was an anomaly because I want to support my local eateries.

Our senior home in Yorkville sponsored a Movie & Pizza night last Friday, January 23rd. We placed a large order of Pizza’s for the event. Maciano’s pizza was a real hit! The entire process was a positive experience. I spoke with Riley, who helped me to work out the details and took my order. She was so helpful and courteous. The delivery was on time, pizza’s hot and delicious. They even included extras we didn’t expect with the order like plates, napkins, individual packets of red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese. Many residents had never had Maciano’s pizza before and loved it! The event was a hit and Maciano’s will be our go to pizza restaurant for our future pizza parties.

So I ordered online, gotta say pizza is pricey. I ordered a 18inch pepperoni, a medium chicago sausage pepperoni, mozzarella sticks,and bread sticks came to 90 and change. When delivery guy came he handed me one box and a bag, I told him there’s a pizza missing he looked and said are you sure I showed him receipt and he said oh I go get it. I also called the restaurant spoke to the rudest girl, she acted like I was lying. Put me on hold got back on the phone and said yeah the pizza will be there and hung up, no apology nothing. So I called back spoke to the So called manager who also wasn’t very nice and seemed like he didn’t care. I’m not trying to be mean or a Karen but if I ordered food and an item is cleary missing, paid for i would like at least a im sorry or something? So the missing 18inch came about 25mins after cold , the mozzarella sticks were okay, and the chicago pizza was soggy. The only thing we really enjoyed was the breadsticks. Such a disappointment. Oh my goodness! Amazing doesn’t even come close to how much we enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere of this little gem! We had a basic pepperoni lunch slice with soup. It was so delicious! Crust was the best I’ve ever had … perfectly crisp and full of flavor as was the entirety of the slice. I have never had a pizza with the ability to really taste the crust. Amazing experience! The soup was so full of fresh vegetables and so tasty. The bread they serve all tables was just a perfect starter to get us ready for this experience. All the food was so delicious. The young man that served us was just so wonderful and friendly and the atmosphere just added to the relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. We look forward to stopping here again when we get the opportunity to be in this part of the country again. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality.

We ordered delivery from Maciano’s in Vernon Hills, and it was absolutely amazing! The food arrived hot, fresh, and perfectly packaged. Everything we ordered was full of flavor and clearly made with quality ingredients. Portions were generous, and delivery was right on time. It tasted just as good as dining in—if not better.

I suggested for a group of 11 based on ordering take out. The food was good and reasonably priced and our server also very good. However, the person who actually made the reservation was specific about separate checks and we were told they don’t do separate checks when we arrived. The manager eventually relented. We had coupons that were mailed to us and told they weren’t valid in the dining room only delivery and that is not stated on any of the coupons which our server acknowledged. Finally one of our group didn’t get her meal until we were all leaving even though she ordered when we all did. She ended up taking it home as carry out. It’s embarrassing for me as the person who recommended the location and a pretty bad experience overall.

If you haven’t had their pizza yet you must. We recently had the thin crust and it was fantastic. Sauce, cheese, crust, Sausage and pepperoni all fantastic. We had the deep dish over the holiday and it was dynamite. As good and better than any ive had in the greater Chicagoland area. And the price is right!
