We had dinner here before going to a Cirque Du Soleil show. Sophia provided us with both excellent service and menu suggestions. I really appreciated her suggestion of adding red pepper flakes to the prawn linguine entree. My boyfriend enjoyed his prime rib dip with truffle fries. The triple berry cobbler was delicious as well. I would of liked to of been able to add on a side salad or some bread with my entree without having to order a big portion.

I’ve been going to Matt’s since 2006 and never been disappointed. Quality is #1! Service is great and attentive. This casual restaurant is family owned, and the high standards set by the owner show. Good variety in the menu and a good happy hour. The nachos on the HH menu are 5/5. The desserts, especially the chocolate lava cake is splendid. Best calamari in Seattle. Love the rotisserie protein items as well. Nice private event space also available.

5 of us went to Matt’s for the first time on Friday, Jan. 30 for a 75th birthday. I asked for a table in a quieter area, and was given that. We all ordered something different except 2 of us, who ordered the halibut tacos. Wow! We were all so impressed by the service and flavorful food. Those of us with the tacos are gluten free, dairy free, & received large pieces of fresh halibut. I brought my own gf/df cake and our server could not have been more accommodating. Matt’s told me the chefs will also change gloves for Celiac customers). We will happily return!

Great food and service with a comfortable vibe. Choose between bar, table tops, tables, or booths. Great apps, salads, oysters, and meat. The tender and delicious Prime rib roast is available every day, not just weekends. Better than average wine just, including Abeja wines. Everything is reasonably priced, and without a mandatory minimum 20% restaurant fee we’re seeing in other cities and some restaurants. Ample free parking. I keep going back year after year for all of those reasons.

For our appetizer, we ordered the HOT DUNGENESS CRAB & ARTICHOKE DIP with cream cheese and rosemary crackers. We requested carrots and celery on the side, and it was super delicious!
For the main course, we each had the ALASKAN KING CURRY SALMON—coconut red curry, lime-scented jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables, and chili oil. This was hands down the best salmon dish I’ve ever had! The sauce was incredibly flavorful.
We skipped dessert and enjoyed hot tea and coffee instead, which was the perfect way to end our meal.
I highly recommend making a reservation in advance since this place is super popular. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and we never felt rushed. Our server was wonderful, making sure we were well taken care of the entire time.
Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

Update 1/23/25:
THE WINGS ARE BACK!!! After many months of wingless happy hour, the wings are back and better than ever! The breading is more seasoned and less breading. We saw many other happy patrons also enjoying their wings with their cocktails. In our opinion, they have one of the best Buffalo wings around Seattle, and we have tried plenty fried chickens and wings. So if you are a buffalo wings lover, check out Matt’s happy hour!
We’ve been coming to Matt’s for almost 20 years. We love their casual atmosphere, diverse menu, best buffalo wings, seafood chowder, Caesar salads and burger. They also have a great cocktail menu for a nice happy hour get together. Perfect for family gathering because everyone can find something they like.

Had a work dinner here. The hostess got us promptly to a table. Our waitress was on her first night to serve. She did fine for her first night. We ordered our dishes. It was interesting that after the appetizer was served the main dishes came out staggered to the point where we ate and others had to wait. We didn’t want the food to get cold. The food was good, and quality was fine.
