FOR SHITS N GIGGLES
Today is my third day here in a row and I’m finally leaving a review. What can I say? I walked into this place and immediately felt like home even your service animals are welcome. I had way more footage, but I wanted to respect the privacy of the customers they weren’t ready for me. And I wasn’t ready for them. The atmosphere in this place is so warm and inviting and cozy. You just know it’s someplace that you have to come back to. If you were looking for sanctuary. You have found sanctuary… in this place.

Such an amaaaazing place! So cute! So neat and interesting! Loved the decoration! They have so many items that you can easily spend hours inside!
As far as the coffee, not strong enough for me. She redid my latte and still not good for my taste.
Just as a side note: so outdated and unfair to charge extra for oat milk!

I’ve never been to a Comics/Coffee shop. What a great idea! I totally loved it. The staff is so freaking knowledgeable. I got some great recommendation and I found a couple of titles I didn’t even know I needed.

After receiving “Orlando The City’s Magazine” and reading the Coffee Bracket Challenge 2025 winner was Blackbird Comics and Coffeehouse, I made a trip to find out just how good the coffee was. And let me say, it did not disappoint! We arrived just as they were opening at 9:00 AM, so it wasn’t busy. I ordered the Dark Knight: dark chocolate, cream and vanilla. It was extremely sweet, like a really good hot chocolate. The chocolate was high quality and delicious.
I usually ask for half the syrup, but I decided to go for it full strength. Next time I’ll go light on the syrup since I don’t like my drinks too sweet. But I did enjoy this!
The shop is mainly a comic store, and it’s so cool to just walk around and take in all the fun eclectic decorations. Lots of comics and graphic novels to choose from. Made for a fun atmosphere to look around or sit and sip, plenty of seating.
The barista was friendly and helpful with making my coffee selection. Plenty of free parking in the lot out front.

Such a fun place. We got the mystery drinks and both of ours were something out of the ordinary that we normally wouldn’t of gotten, but very good and was glad we tried them. We also got the avocado toast and it was delicious. Service was great and there’s a ton of stuff to look at in the shop.

I really loved blackbird cafe! Really cool place with comic books and amazing coffee. Their espresso machine was down but the barista offered great alternatives which I ended up with the chai flavored cold brew. the coffee was super delicious and the right amount of sweet. I also got a bagel with cream cheese and it was also very good! Only complaints is the parking situation, but that’s not really something the shop can control. If I lived in the area I would visit more often!

This small business diamond in a world full of corporate owned rocks is a rare find. This place gets it right on every level. When you walk in the door you are immediately hit with the inexplicable feeling of “what a great vibe”. The ingredients in their food and their menu creativity means it will never be the same visit twice although if you have a regular item you love just ask and the very friendly and capable staff will grant your wish. Blackbird is more than coffee and comics. It’s the place all small independent shops dream of being. Comfortable seating. Great fun merchandise. Table top games. Fun collectibles. Comics. So much! The owners are physically there and care. This is one of my favorite spots in the Orlando area and every time I’m in the area it’s a must go spot.

I love this coffee shop, it’s inside the comic book store. It also has books and graphic novels along with games, art supplies, and puzzles/boardgames you can rent. They are very friendly but because everyone is so happy and jovial in this great atmosphere it becomes loud so it can be hard to talk.

I also highly recommend the buckeye. I get it every single time, so delicious!

I purposely drive across town to come here because of its unique and fun atmosphere. Their monthly featured drink flavors never miss—June’s violet latte was a banger! (Hats off to the baristas!) I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s so exciting to see how much they’ve grown. Their comic inventory is impressive, and the staff always has great recommendations if you’re looking for something new.

My favorite thing about this place is the variety of events and the way they engage with the community. It’s clear the owners continue to pour a lot of passion and love into this space.

So next time you’re in town, make sure to come for the coffee and stay for the comics—or come for the comics and stay for the coffee!

Incredible atmosphere, great comic selection, and delicious food and drinks! I stopped by here on my way to MCO and it was everything I hoped it’d be and more! I got to chat with the owner who was a very cool person, and gave me some recommendations for comic shops in my own city. The comic selection is extremely well organized and there’s a wide array of back issues, mostly newer (2000s and on), but there were definitely some older collections as well. I found a lot of cool variant covers both of new issues and back issues. The comic pricing was comparable to other shops with similar quality comics. They also had a small vinyl section, some toys, board games, and other knick knacks, and a few bookshelves of graphic novels and TPBs. The coffee and food wasn’t overpriced and the seating was very accessible and comfortable. I’ll for sure be coming back the next time I fly through MCO!
