From the original opening of the first location on Haywood road years ago till now, this was always my go-to spot, the best Mexican in town that matched my preferences coming from California. However, lately with yearly price increases and inconsistent food quality, I can no longer recommend this place. What used to always be a burrito full of steak can now be full of just beans and onions with a few bites of steak or it may be good. You never know anymore if the food will have quality to. It’s a roll of the dice but at $16 instead of seven. I’m not gambling anymore.

Our group had a good time. I had the Camerones Flores, it was great. The other guests were happy with their meals. Reasonable prices. $5 Margaritas, and they were huge. Lively decor really adds to the experience. The servers were really working hard; not sure if they were short staffed or not, but the length of time between table touches would seem so. I would recommend, and will certainly be back.

This was the most awful place I’ve ever been. The customer service was horrible only saw the waitress twice. Messed up our checks, hairs in our drinks. Overall horrible customer service. I don’t recommend. Told the waitress about the hair and she ignored it like I was seeing things. She didn’t make me pay for the drink but never brought me a new one and didn’t take it away either.

We’ve been going here for years and while it’s still a good location. The food quality has gone down in recent years. I love the salsa bar options, they are always fresh and options for every taste. Beer is great, I got the medium which was a huge size!
Here are a few issues we had however.
The kids meal chicken tenders is a flattened chicken breast that’s just cut up. The chicken is so thin it’s not worth eating. I chose the combination of enchilada, tamale, and taco. The beef in the taco was seasoned really well but the overwhelming amount of lettuce was overkill. No cheese was added which it was suppose to come with. The tamale was one of the worst I’ve had in the area and sadly the enchilada wasn’t much better. Food for the cost was just not worth it and given there are so many Mexican restaurants in the area we will likely not be back. There are too many other places that offer better food to keep coming back here.

I’m not impressed with the food from what I’m used to compared to other Mexican restaurants but I know some love it. Service is friendly. I like the booth seating as it’s easier to talk verses an open table.

Food was amazing as always but they did forget to bring out one persons food for upwards of ten mins while we waited for them to come back. We also didn’t get refills for a long time. When they came back they were so apologetic and totally made up for it.

First time here. The menu is huge so I didn’t know what to order. I asked the waitress and she recommended chimichanga. It was great. Recommend not so much sauce on top so that I can enjoy the crunch. But it was amazing will definitely go again.

My food was ok. Nothing to write home about. My wife found somwthing hard in her food. Was told is was something they use to mix the flour?? They were nice enough to take her portion of the order off the bill, so i am grateful for that.
What bothers me is this place changes your tip.
I had already written down a 25% tip but when my CC statement came around, i noticed that they added an extra dollar to the tip. I write what I tip on my copy because of this very reason.
