TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I had a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken on Ogden. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, though I’m personally not a big fan of sweet heat—so if you don’t enjoy a balance of sweetness and spice, it may not be your favorite style. That said, the chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy on the inside with a crispy coating, and the seasoning had a bold kick. The fries were absolutely to die for—crispy, well-seasoned, and fresh—and Dave’s sauce was amazing, tying everything together with great flavor.
The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and diligent in prepping the food and ensuring my order was ready on time for pickup. Everything was packaged neatly and accurately, and the overall experience felt organized and professional. You really can’t go wrong dining in here or ordering out—I’ll definitely be coming back.

Love the aesthetic and the staff is very friendly, the cashier who attended me and my brother, Nevaeh, was incredibly friendly and you can tell he enjoys working here. The food never disappoints here and I highly recommend eating here.

I visit this Dave’s Hot Chicken location quite often, and the food is always great. What really keeps me coming back is the service. Tisha is always incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. She makes every visit feel comfortable and enjoyable, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about the customers. Great food and even better customer service. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

The food is great, I for one am not a fan of sweet heat, if you don’t like that then it’s not the best. The fries are to die for, Dave’s sauce is amazing, the service is excellent. Our server even came over and asked us if we enjoyed our food because we ordered the Reaper and signed the waiver, it hurt so good. Our server Constance was such a kind soul, the whole team seemed very welcoming and friendly. Thank you for the best painful chicken experience EVER!

My boyfriend and I had a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken. The atmosphere was great, and the customer service really stood out. Madison, the cashier, and Tesha, the assistant manager, were absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning.

New chain in town serving a quasi version of Nashville Chicken. The sliders and tenders are juicy and have a great seasoning in them. Fair warning on the hot levels; anything Very hot and above, unless a seasoned fire eater, you’re not going to enjoy it too much. I love all the pickles that come with it. The crinkle cut fries aren’t anything special, but adding the liquid cheese makes it so greasy spoon. The Dave’s sauce adds a good pizzazz of flavor to the already flavorful sandwich or tenders. The service is quick, and the ladies at the counter are sweerhearts. The dining room features local graffiti artist’s work, and it’s a popular place for high school teens to dine and chill, making a good vibe to find in.
