There’s no cart pushing around. You order from the menu with pictures. And it’s very thoughtful to have the vegan selection.
It’s a place with hit and miss items.
The chicken feet and the egg yolk pineapple pastries are so good!! We had to order more for takeout.
But their shrimp dumplings are a bit dry. The fish cake is very spicy, definitely not kids friendly. The shrimp dumplings are a bit dry. And you can totally pass their fish tofu. The sticky rice doesn’t come with salted egg yolk and it’s on the light side, probably not enough seasoning. There’s taro and ribs are good.
We will come back for other items (tribes, eggplant, bean curd dumplings, and beef stews… etc) we didn’t get this time. And they have good variety of pastry and beef tendons, too. The dessert coconut pudding is on the hard side and not as good as tofu pudding.
And they charge differently if you pay by cash.

Nice Dim Sum place near the heart of the Valley. This place is nice a spacious and their staff is super friendly.

Dim sum and food are all amazing,
We tried all of the popular menu items as well as the tofu and eggplant dish.
Highly recommend the Hargow, bbq pork buns, steamed Chinese broccoli, shumai, and the rice noodles (shrimp).
Service was amazing as staff was very attentive and we never had to ask for a refill on hot water for our tea, dishes were cleared promptly and the part I like is the partially open kitchen. Clean and very friendly, will def come back!

Went for a late lunch and got seated right away. We ordered some dimsum and crispy noodle and food was great. Server forgot one of our orders but reminded them and they got it out quickly. Overall good dimsum option for quick lunch.

Yum Cha Restaurant is my go-to spot when a dim sum craving hits! The food is delicious and always served quickly by a very friendly staff. It’s a bit on the pricier side, and just a heads-up, they do add a 3% surcharge for credit card payments. Still, it’s a great place for a satisfying meal!

I had the most amazing plant-based general tso’s chicken at Yum Cha restaurant! It was super crunchy on the outside and tender chewy on the inside, the textures were indistinguishable from real chicken. I also found my new favorite plate, steamed eggplant and garlic, the eggplant was full of flavor and literally melts in your mouth!
The third plate I got was salt and pepper crispy tofu one of my favorite tofu go to plates! These were perfectly crispy and salted on the outside with just the right amount of spiciness. It is difficult to find good plant-based dishes and for me yum cha restaurant excelled in their plant-based dishes! There is plenty of free parking as the restaurant sits in a strip mall, the staff are friendly and accommodating, restaurant is clean and spacious. Overall I had a great experience and will be back next time I am in the area for sure

I was very happy that I saw the sign out front and got a craving for Chinese. This is very authenticate, no flatware dropped at the table. I’m sure it is available on request.
The Kung Pao chicken was the best that I’ve ever had. Normally, I ask for extra spicy, so I am glad that I didn’t this time as it had very good heat.
The hot sour soup again had the right amount of heat, and I have never had better. The atmosphere is nice, and the dining area and what I could see of the kitchen were very clean.

Overall, this spot has potential! While the service can vary from minimal to average, this time we were pleasantly surprised by a very sweet lady who seemed to be the manager. I appreciate that they offer a wide variety of vegetarian dim sum, which is a nice change from the usual offerings at dim sum restaurants.
Everything we ordered was quite good, but one downside was that they used paper plates. Here’s what we tried:
– Shu Mai
– Pork Spare Ribs
– Crispy Taro Pancake
– Baked BBQ Pork Bun
– Beef Rice Noodle
– Golden Sand Lava Custard Bun
Most items were typical and nothing overly extraordinary, except for the Golden Sand Lava Custard Bun. It was absolutely delicious! Although it’s not something I would typically order, our sweet server highly recommended it, and I’m so glad we listened. It was a standout dish that I can’t stop raving about!

Fast friendly service with very tasty food. Been back a few times for the seafood dumpling noodle soup. Other items are hit and miss, but staples like the shrimp roll, pot stickers, and shu mai are all really good. Always try different items when I come, but never miss the seafood dumpling noodle soup. Always order ahead for easy takeout with no wait.
