Look at the before and after pictures I posted , they will tell you everything. I just about almost ate the styrofoam container too, that’s how good this large braised oxtail meal was. This is my new favorite place to get oxtail. The serving of oxtail was generous so much so that I had enough oxtail for every spoonful of rice that was in this plate. I’m definitely ordering again from this place. It was so delicious and tender !!!! and fulfilling. Definitely well worth it.

Our caterer canceled on us the night before an event with 30 people arriving the next day. Full panic mode. As a last-ditch effort, we called this Golden Krust location late at night and asked the impossible: Could you have food ready by noon tomorrow? Not only did they say yes…….they showed up like absolute pros.
From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, calm, and incredibly helpful. Chef Keith and the team didn’t just “do the job”—they went above and beyond. The food was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we needed. They even helped pack my car carefully, making sure everything was secure and ready to serve. We went from fully panicked to extremely pleased in a matter of hours. I have nothing but love and respect for this place. This is what community looks like. Please patronize our people, support this business, and know that if you’re ever in a bind, they come through with heart, professionalism, and pride.

Had the jerk chicken dinner. It came with rice, plantains, and greens. All of the food was tasty. The food carried my rating to a 5.
The music is too loud to hear the server even when 2-3 feet away. It needs to turned down. This is a restaurant, not a dance hall. Is the music for your customers or staff?
Also, the fonts on your menu need to be 2x or more larger. I have great eyesight and could not read your menu. Do you want sales? I almost left in confusion.

First time in a very long time since I’ve been to this place. I was in line (sort of) and was told to change position to get service. I ordered and went to cash out. I was given an extra patie, a kind gesture for a moment of slight frustration on my behalf. I was surprised and caught off guard by this simple act of kindness. You have my business from now on whenever I think of Jamaican food. That says a lot for customer service and satisfaction. Thank you kind man. Much appreciated.

The worst Golden Krust in lawrenceville
I asked for fried dumplings on the side and the person that was sharing the food out disregard anything that I was asking for, not only that the ackee was so disgusting I couldn’t believe that was Jamaican food the ackee was basically purée as if the ackee salt fish was out of a can the most nasty Jamaican food I came across in my life the customer service was terrible . I never go back to that location

Food was was all right. The curry goat was the best dish we got the goat meat was a little fatty and also the ladies at the drive-through were a little rude, but it’s expected with the Jamaican restaurant.

On 2/21/26 I ordered a large oxtail with spinach rice no vegetables. I realized the containers are a small instead of a large. Then when I got home I had 6 oxtails and I paid $30.00. I thought it was a mistake so I called the restaurant, they confirmed that you only receive 6 oxtails for $30.00 which is ridiculous. I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened but today they lost a customer. It’s a shame how they take advantage of customers. I can buy 3lbs of oxtails for $50.00 to only receive 6 per customer is truly ridiculous.

I was excited to eat at Golden Krust because I’d never eaten there before. My daughter and I ordered the oxtail plates. We made it all the way home, I opened my tray and there was a LONG STRAND OF HAIR mixed in with my rice!!!! I could not believe my eyes!!! We IMMEDIATELY took it back. The guy at the counter said he was not refunding our money back ($59) because it was my daughters hair!!! Like..WHAT!!!???!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!??!!! My daughter’s hair was in a donut!!!!! The hair in my food was clearly a very long piece of weave!!!! Then he said he was only gonna refund us for ONE order!!! So, my daughter said no, you’re gonna refund us for BOTH ORDERS!!! She didn’t want her food after I found hair in mine and rightfully so!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT PLACE AGAIN!!! So, to anyone who goes there, PLEASE inspect your food THOROUGHLY!!!! UGHHHH!!!!! I was sooo disgusted and then to have the nerve to say it was my daughters hair and NOT want to refund us our money!!!!! An apology should have been given but it was not!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Stopped here a few days ago and got the stewed beef for myself and the ox tail for my wife.
The stewed beef was very salty and a little tough. Flavors weren’t good overall. Had to force myself to finish eating it because the two dishes were fairly expensive at $50 total.
My wife mentioned that her rice was tough.
