listen , i will ALWAYS tell you the 100% truth about a places i visit becausei dont want you to waste your time and money, we have been going to la playa Maya in Fort worth since I moved up here in 2000. The people know us and are very freindly, the service is above par and most importantly, the food is hot and fresh every single time and because of that we tip extremely good. But here at the Hudson oaks la plya Maya we walk in and are seated immediatel, which is great because they are not busy at all, maybe 7 guest, the decor was good the atmosphere was great and we are thinking “ok this is our new la playa Maya” right? WRONG!!!! we are sitting there waiting for our drinks for a minute then when she comes to take our order, she doesn’t write it down my wife orders a COKE with the enchiladas plate , I order the CHICKEN fajitas. So we wait and wait and finally our food comes out buuuuuuut its not chicken fajitas its beef and my wife gets diet coke instead of coke. Are you still with me? It gets better, so she then takes the BEEF fajitas and the DIET COKE back but returns maybe 5 minutes later with my chicken. We both think thats a little suspect right, freshly cooked chicken surly takes longer than 2 minutes to cook right,right, right!!!! I guess not here because she brings it out and sure the pan it was brought out on was sizzling away but I go to pick up the chicken and it is COLD!! The picture is deceiving and I i couldnt believe it, my wife cooks alot of meat and she smells the chicken and says “it doesn’t smell fresh or cooked all the way through, its microwaved chicken yall!! Its not cooked , its preseasoned and MICROWAVED!!! I WAS HEART BROKEN. so we proceed to talk to the manager, and guess what else, HE STILL CHARGED US FOR MY WIVES FOOD!! which was fine because she ate it , Then says “please give me another chance” ummm, if you wanted another chance, you probably shouldn’t have charged us for the disgusting food and horrible service. I will say the waitress had a great attitude but she definitely needs to write the order down, she had a very generous tip coming too, 100$ generous because these are tough times , but you have to earn it, nothing is free in this life. So unfortunately i couldnt do it. And the cooks definitely need to make sure the customers get what they pay for and PLEASE make sure ALL the food is cooked so no one gets sick , so if I could rate this 0 stars I would unfortunately, and I will just say that I HIGHLY recommend the la playa Maya in Fort worth off camp bowie Blvd.

Very nice dinner on an early Friday evening. Wasn’t busy when we arrived, but definitely was getting busy when we left. The chips were typical. The salsa was very good, but at times was a bit spicy. We ordered shrimp fajitas for 2. It was plenty and pretty good. The shrimp was overcooked, but that is somewhat the expected with a steaming hot cast iron pan. My wife enjoyed a margarita..

We sure wish we had tried La Playa Maya sooner. We have been driving past it, at least once a week for over 4 years. The building just doesn’t stand out BUT once you step in the door, the inside has a really nice atmosphere and it’s well decorated.
The food is good and reasonably priced. Portions are generous. Tastes like it’s all made from scratch. Service was excellent. Food came out of the kitchen really fast even though they were really busy.

We always have great service and great food when we are here. However, tonight we had Luis as our waiter and his service, manners, attention to detail and to us was so exceptional I had to write a review!! It’s so nice to see young men and women still have pride in what they do! Whoever raised that young man did an amazing job!!!

was amazing, so sweet and thoughtful.
We had a margarita call Mamarita that Veronica created. It was AMAZING, light, and refreshing. The salsa was okay.
