My son loved his blackened fish tacos, and my wife’s hummus/pimento cheese/olive tapenade app was tasty. I greatly appreciate the ability to sub a Beyond vegetarian patty into anything on their burger line-up but alas, my burger ate dry, needing some kind of sauce. I had them bring a side of mayo, which helped a bit. The tater tots are far crunchier than your typical Ore-Idas.

Parking is problematic; street parking can be difficult to find, and someone with greed issues wants to charge you to park across the street in the bank lot, even when the bank is closed.

First visit, was staying with a friend in Asheville and she suggested UJ.
I had a gyro and mixed green salad. Gyro was very good, salad was okay, it was mostly pointed leaf varieties as opposed to wider leaves. I buy organic mixed salads at various stores and have noticed they come in 2 varieties, pointed or wide leaves, so this was not unexpected. Blue cheese dressing was excellent.
My friend had a California burger and fries. She said the burger was excellent. The fries were nothing exceptional. They were hot and crispy.
Our waitress was very attentive and checked by several times to see if we needed anything.
It was not very busy so it was easy to carry on a conversation.
The total tab, including tax, for our 2 meals, 1 root beer, and one dark draft beer was $46 which was reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food.
My wife and I visit Asheville several times a year and will definitely eat here on a future trip.

I gave 4 stars, instead of 3 because the food this time wasn’t great, but I’ve had it in the past and it’s been excellent.
We got the Steinbeck burger with fries the fish tacos with beans.
Burger- excellent. Fries good.
Tacos- terribly bland
Black beans- soo bland
Service- always great!

I was looking for a good black bean burger. Well, I found one. I also got to have it on a gluten-free bun that was delicious. My husband had a bison burger, and we enjoyed cucumber salad, sweet potato fries, and regular fries as our sides. Everything was served quickly and looked pretty on the plate. I posted a picture of my plate afterward to show I tore it up. Was fresh and good. Our bartender and server, Wesley, was pleasant and shared he has been working there 11 years. He feels like they are family, which says a lot about the establishment.
Oh, and the building was actually a refurbished gas station. How cool is that!

Great wing special on Monday. Kind waitress but it did take a while for them to ask my order. Amazing beers, especially the sour they have from New Belgium.
With the Monday special you can get a 8% abv beer and wings plus tip for less than 22 dollars.

This restaurant is an absolute gem, with the best burgers you will ever have! Everything was so fresh, and the burger just had amazing flavor. I had a “Lawnchair lemonade” cocktail which was absolutely perfect. The restaurant itself was an interesting building inside and out. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming and friendly. Smiles all around. This restaurant is dog- friendly with outdoor seating, perfect for a quick bite while walking your furry friend.

I called in a Togo order and the bartender Naya helped me out. She was AMAZING. I asked about their wing deal on mondays and she explained it all and made sure I signed up to get the discount. She was SO sweet and helpful. When I came to pick up the order she was happy and helpful and made sure I had the absurd amount of extra sauces I paid for. Just in general her customer service was amazing. These days it’s hard to come by, especially with a Togo order. So I truly appreciated her attitude and positivity. Keep her there as long as she’s willing!! 15/10 just because of Naya. (Also the food is always great)

Atmosphere low bc it was lunch time so quiet. The servers male and female are great, they have awesome personalities & easy to talk with during break. Again, patrons can be a little nicer to the service helpers, but it’s Asheville Customers are rude. The service here was super patient and the guy notice he wasn’t popular with the crowd. So it settled quickly.

Nice outdoor seating area. Very dog friendly, even have a menu for them! The indoor area looked pretty eccentric just from a trip to the bathroom. All service was great. The food was also good.
