Great little mom and pop truck stop with a diner. If you’re looking for an original old school diner experience, this is it. Countertop and barstools, tables and booths. Also includes the sassy waitress (good sassy). They also have a biscuit and gravy challenge here. 16 biscuits and a gallon of gravy. Completed in an hour and can’t get up from the table. If completed meal is free and a tee shirt.
Also the local school buses fuel up here. DON’T BLOCK A SCHOOL BUS! It will just about militarize the staff.

The food wasn’t the worst, but almost. Service wasn’t the worst, but almost. After they forgot to put my order in, the waitress took my order for a second time. She asked me if I want hash browns or American fries. Then she returned and said it doesn’t include hash browns but she could add it for an extra charge. The bacon in my omelet was burnt. I paid 12 dollars and got 1 biscuit and probably the worst omelet of my life. But it was edible.

I ordered a diet mountain dew, because mountain dew is probably the closest drink with refills to orange juice. That was an extra 3 dollars. It was flat.

The bathroom had no soap and is dingy. Toilet paper sitting on the dispenser and almost gone.

The place really makes you feel like hosing yourself down when you leave

I’ve been coming to Howie’s for years and have always had a pleasant experience. I took the guys for some good breakfast and they didn’t disappoint. All our food came out fresh and hot. Service was excellent and never had an empty cup. This sweet little diner is connected to a gas station and has a quirky set up that you don’t see much these days. The prices are a little steep, but you do get a plateful. Everyone is always kind and welcoming and a great spot when you’re passing through!

Very genuine people! Out of all the places we visited, the food here was the tastiest. Pancakes are phenomenal with a nice crispy exterior, burger was the perfect juiciness, Mac & cheese was spectacular…. We are definitely coming back!

Over clean and comfortable. Staff was nice. Food on the other had. I had the cod for lunch. No seasoning at all. Chili was hot but tasteless

Had steak and shrimp for dinner. Not with 26 bucks. Steak was small and fatty. Shrimp was cold and some what frozen. They refused to recook chef refused) great place to park and sleep but bring your own food

Fantastic. Spent 3 days here waiting on a load and never had a meal I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. The staff are very friendly. The pancakes are bigger than the plates. The steak and eggs is very good, cooked medium rare as requested. The pork chops were gorgeous and tasty. The gotta is very good. Almost forgot to mention the blackberry cobbler, very good. Definitely one of the best truck stops I’ve stayed at.

Service was slow I don’t know why .
The waitress was busy working hard and very freindly.
The food ( liver and onions) taste wrong.
Price was fair , the chili was good, coleslaw was great.
But this place is under serious construction.
The bathroom was small and not kept up ,no dry towels or blower..

I love Howie’s food! It makes you feel as if you are at home eating your mother’s cooking. Same goes for the atmosphere here, home-like. My grandpa loved eating here when he was alive. My aunt worked here. It gets tons of business. The breakfast foods are great.

The food was good, I had eggs, sausage gravy & bacon. I gave 2 stars for service because it took forever to get my coffee refilled & our food took some time to receive. As you can see, it was not busy. We had 2 waiters that came and checked on us. They were nice people, but the service was slow. This was my 1st time here. The people I went with said its their tradition to stop after they leave casino. When we were finished, we got snacks to go home & refueled. Would I go back, yes, but don’t recommend if you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to wait.
