Banh Mi in Stamford!! I could hardly believe it. But now we have Saigon Cafe, a tiny place run by personable and helpful staff. Nine kinds of Banh Mi (a fantastic sandwich of pork pate or other meat; crunchy, pickled vegetables; cilantro; and spicy sauce on toasted French bread), Pho (Vietnamese beef noodle soup) and ramen noodle soup. Even bubble tea!! Everything I’ve had has been delicious. It’s bare-table, luncheonette “decor” — i.e., it’s the real thing. I’m… so grateful.
