Worst experience i ever have with any popeyes. Every time I order from this location they mess up my order . No only mess it up but show they don’t care. If u see the pictures I posted. I ordered a fish sandwich with tartar sauce . They send me a chicken sandwich with tar tar sauce . Then I get a surf and turf box.and the just squeez tartar sauce all over the bottom of the box. Never again and the location is never clean .

I had an extremely frustrating experience at this location on 1/8/2025 between 1:10–1:30 AM. My partner placed an order through Instacart, and I went in to pick it up. When I realized I had accidentally left my phone at home, I explained the situation to the staff.
Even after another customer offered to help by showing a screenshot with the order number and proof of purchase, the staff still refused to release the order. What made the situation worse was the attitude—staff members were rude, dismissive, and uninterested in helping, offering no solutions and showing no empathy.
There was also no attempt by management to step in or assist during this time, and the situation was allowed to continue without any effort to find a reasonable solution. The order was already made and paid for, with clear proof available, yet customer service was completely lacking.
I understand that policies exist, but there was zero flexibility or professionalism shown by the team at this location. This experience left a very negative impression, and I will not be returning.

The kitchen gets hot in there, the area is unpredictable and lots of people are in the dining hall while it’s understaffed and I totally am patient with the attitude of the employees because of it. I remained calm and ended up with full service and affordable food. Were my red beans and rice and mash with gravy soupy? Yes but I got what I needed and they allowed me to use the dining hall until I was satisfied and able to leave safely at 2am or 4am some days and others without any issues. I’d come back again to tell them, “whatever gimme my food” for full service and affordable food anytime I actually want to eat Popeyes.

First of all the atmosphere is unmatched, unforgettable experience. Staff was very passionate about cooking and the burgers were huge. We ordered 2 burgers and two fries but we got 3 of each. They even asked us if we want free cups. Recommend, never switch up on this spot.

I’m currently going through housing issues and it’s 14 degrees outside. I had no where to go and went in to Popeyes on Whalley in New Haven, Ct. Not only was I given warmth but a sandwich and soda as well. At 12 am it was like an oasis in the night. Did I mention I’m white and all the staff was black. They didn’t care , nor could I. It was the kindest eye opening experience I’ve ever had. Hearts have no color. Visit this establishment if you can. If not for the great food, for the humanity alone. Tell a friend my words please.

We ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 fries and they gave us 3. Such kindness. Staffs spirits were very high from the moment we entered. They were even so kind to put sugar in our fries because they saw we didn’t order deserts. We loved the red spark of enthusiasm in the waitresses as she gave us the order. They even use new mechanisms for blockage in the form of chairs, such advanced technologies. Recommend to everybody in New Haven, the best spot by far.

I came in around 9 PM to order a three-piece combo, there was no one ordering food in the store just people sitting and eating. So that being said the fact that this mistake was made is quite odd to me. I asked for a three-piece combo with mac & cheese, keep in mind. I’m exhausted from work just got off. I’m starving and I wanted something quick. I heard the cashier taking my order. tell someone from the back to grab her a mac & cheese. Keep in mind while she’s setting up my order. I’m in the bathroom. I live 30 minutes away from this location mind you, this was just my first resort, considering a few minutes away from my job. I drove all the way back home just to find out that she never put my mac & cheese in the bag when I specifically heard her even ask someone to make a mac & cheese. The drive was too far for me to go back and file a complaint so here I am writing a review. I’ve worked in fast food service before and I definitely have compassion for most of these situations if the store is packed with customers or it’s low staff, but considering that wasn’t the case this genuinely pissed me off.

Regina is the greatest manager ever! She needs to be promoted. I love her so much she helped me so much I had family and friends over and we wanted Popeyes. Doordash denied us! This location deserves a zero star but go figure you can’t give that. My husband had gotten unbelievably sick and I don’t stand for that. I hope corporate is ready to hear my mouth. Just know to all of management I hope you have your serve-safe cause I will be taking actions and if you do have it I’ll make sure you loose it. The food is always cold and old. The workers were to busy having conversations and making fun of the new employee thinking that customers don’t hear them. That’s so unprofessional I truly don’t understand how this location hasn’t been shut down. Management is horrendous and it seems they have hired their friends to have fun instead of work properly. New management is needed and new employees. I’ve only witnessed one good worker in this location. Although he is new so who knows if they’ll corrupt him to act the same way they all do. I know a handful of people who have gotten sick from this location and to be honest I’m sick of this. Management is beyond under certified to run this establishment.
