Stopped in, first time and enjoyed ourselves. Restaurant has a cool, trendy vibe (and it was clean), service was very friendly and the menu was decent, albeit maybe a bit more pricey.
Complimentary chips were good, salsa was meh (order a side of hot salsa / oil if you want to zing it up).
I had the Burrito Azteca and my wife had a taco salad.
It was all really good. Seems like it’d be a fun place for a group dinner party.

We have been here twice now. Both times the wait was <5min. The staff is very friendly and prompt.
First visit- we got the street corn appetizer and tamale. It was ok. The corn had good flavor and could be shareable, if need be. I cut mine easily off the cob to share. They came with a lime wedge to squeeze on. The tamale was typical, good flavor and consistency. For the mains I got the Chimichanga (plus is discounted on Friday’s to <$10). You get two, one beef and one chicken. My preference was the chicken, I did not care for the beef one. It is a very small minced beef and had good flavor, I did not like the consistency feel of the tortilla/beef/sogginess from steam and cheese. Their rice is really well flavored!

Second visit *pictured*- I ordered the ACP and was very surprised at how tender and flavorful the chicken was. Great portion size and served with tortillas.
My husband got the la oaxaqueña, which was amazing! It was served like fajitas, arrived screaming hot and smoking. The flavor has a nice char and the meat was so tender. He definitely has found a new favorite! Served with another dish of rice and charro beans. The beans had a smooth base and chunky with beans, pork bacon, fat and almost like Vienna sausage cut up. They had a great smoky char taste and well seasoned.
Two meals, one kid meal, 3 soda/tea drinks for $62

We are definitely impressed and look forward to coming back soon!

The booths are comfy, the atmosphere is beautiful, the service is friendly and amazingly quick.

The food was wonderful. The guacamole was spot on, a perfect combo of texture and flavor with the amount of onions and saltiness.

The refried beans are some of the best I have had in Ohio, and close to what I grew up with in another state and look for at Mexican restaurants.

The lunch taco salad was amazing, and the taco shell was the best I have had anywhere. The chicken was perfectly tender and juicy.

I would say I wish the salsa was a thicker as it was a little watery, and I wish it was spicy. If it isn’t burning my mouth enough to make my eyes water, it isn’t the right amount of spice. I humbly request they add another salsa option, keeping their current recipe labeled mild and make a spicier version of it.

Overall, an amazing restaurant that I am excited to come back to again.

This is a great Mexican restaurant in the Parma area that’s a bit hard to find/get to, but worth a try. Best part of this restaurant is the service, blazingly fast. Next best is the prices: all their lunch menu items are $10-12. Their salsa is just ok, but the guacamole is outstanding. Also some of the best rice and beans I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant. My Chile Verde burrito was just ok, but my wife’s taco salad was great. Looking forward to returning to try their dinner menu!

The place looks really nice, the service was very good and it was priced well. The Birria tacos were better than most of the chain style Mexican restaurants I have been too. The consume was weak, it could use some more flavor ot was still pretty ok. I am not a huge fan of corn tortillas. I personally I like flour tortillas better i think it helps keep the taco together. I didn’t get a picture of my taco el pastor, it was the best version of this taco I have had 3 out of 5. I am looking for that authentic el pastor. I also tried a grilled chicken taco it was a little dry but 2.5 out of 5. I didn’t try the pictured burrito she said was pretty ok but didn’t see that it said it was smothered in red sauce. They have a huge bar. The guacamole was pretty good. I will visit again.

I stopped by El Palenque and was really impressed! The Monday deal was amazing — dollar tacos and super cheap margaritas that definitely hit the spot. The food was tasty, the atmosphere was great, and our waiter was so nice and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall, an awesome place with great value. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Got lucky and booked hotel next to this place. One of the few or only locally owned places around. Great drinks. Huge authentic Mexican menu. I got a few different types to tacos. Everything was great. Well over 100 types of tequila.

This was my first time at El Palenque in Brooklyn, Ohio, and overall it was just okay. I’ve been to other Mexican restaurants before, so I had some expectations, but this one didn’t really feel like an authentic Mexican experience.

I ordered the Ohio steak, and it was alright — not bad, but nothing special. My mom got fajitas without vegetables, and they were very dry and pretty bland. You could chew them, but they just didn’t have much flavor.

The horchata was way too sweet for my taste. On the bright side, I did enjoy the strawberry Jarritos — always a good choice. Our server, Cristal, was super nice and polite, which I appreciated. However, we did have to wait a while to be attended to, and the place was really crowded and loud. People were talking over each other and it got kind of annoying. The music was fine, though nothing memorable.

As for the prices, they were a bit on the expensive side for the quality of food and overall experience.

Not terrible, but not somewhere I’d rush back to.
