Liliana’s has been on my “must-try” list ever since we’ve moved back to the St. Louis area. It wasn’t around when I grew up, yet everyone I know has recommended it as if it could stand up to long-time staples like Rich & Charlies or Trattoria Marcella. We decided to try it out – on a snowy, muggy day.
The interior was thankfully plenty warm, almost a bit too warm. The interior is definitely on the low-rent end, but everything was clean and I liked the Christmas decorations. Don’t expect fancy, but do expect homey. The service was a mixed bag. We had a younger waitress who was friendly but not very attentive, but she did seem to be doing a lot of other work around the restaurant.
The food was also a mixed bag, mostly positive. We were given a free basket of Garlic Bread, which was kind of dry but we appreciated the gesture. We started with 2 Meatballs, which were probably the best item we had. They were cheesy, tender, and well-seasoned.
The entrees were alright as well. My Dad got the Italian Chef salad and really enjoyed it. It was a large portion and very flavorful. My pizza was just okay. It tasted like someone dumped a bag of IMO’s cheese over store-bought cracker crust and called it a day. It wasn’t terrible, but I would just get IMO’s if I wanted a basic STL style pizza.
Would we come back? Potentially. It wasn’t a bad meal, under $50, and we left pretty full.

Another great place for Italian in the St. Louis Metro! We went to the location in south County. I got the Baked Meatballs Rigatoni, and it was excellent. The toasted rav was also tasty, and I took home some delicious cannoli. They have large portions as well. Definitely recommended.

This place has been here 7 years, and this is probably the 4 time I have been there. The place was very clean, small enough to be intimate, but you don’t have to yell to carry on a conversation. They had a good variety of food, supposedly killer pizzas, but I decided to go with the lasagna. It had big portions, real ingredients, but it was kind of bland when it came to the seasoning. It was priced competitively for other Italian restaurants.

Ate lunch at Liliana’s the other day. Service was very good. The food was absolutely delicious. We got the Meat Lover’s pizza. It had lots of cheese which we loved and they were very generous with the toppings. Very tasty pizza. We also got the house salad with housemade Mayfair dressing. Oh my gosh was this a good salad. Will be going back here soon. Highly recommend this place.

Tried Liliana’s out bc they’re on the way Louis pizza passport. Overall we enjoyed our dinner. The garlic cheese bread and salad were my favorite part of the meal. Marina sauce was not too sweet and a little tangy. House salad and dressing was very good. I didn’t love the pizza, but I can’t really pinpoint why. Very casual, pizza joint. Clean and comfortable. They have plenty of tables and were on a wait when we got there, so they apparently have lots of supporters. Definitely family friendly. They had a free TV’s for watching the game if you wanted. They do not have a bar to sit at while you wait. However they let you put your name on their list and go to the bar down the plaza. They do serve wine and beers, however. Prices were reasonable. Our server was friendly and responsive to our requests. They have a free open parking lot, but it was pretty full so we had to get a little creative with our parking.

We arrived for a late supper at 8 pm. They close at 10pm. Our waitress was superb! She had recommendations when figuring out which beer to try, attentive, happy, and just a wonderful person! Once ordered, our food arrived promptly, hot and the portions are way more than 1 person can eat. My husband and I always share a meal and don’t mind one bit to pay the split fee because even sharing was more than enough food. We took home leftovers. We definitely recommend Liliana’s.

Food is overpriced. Husband had the eggplant parmesan and it came with spaghetti. While good it was only $1 less than chicken? The spaghetti was fair, but not much more than one of the fast food places. Husband got two pieces of eggplant, really? How much is eggplant. I got the cannelloni and it was good. Salads were good. If you don’t mind overpaying for the same thing as the fast food counter parts for the atmosphere, then it’s the place for you. Probably not returning. Also if you order dinner to split they charge you $4 more. Not sure the portions are different, but how crazy is that.

Great Italian place to eat with the family. The pasta is wonderful. And the atmosphere is amazing with indoor and outdoor seating and huge portions of pasta. I will come back here to eat with my family again to try different things.

Excellent food and friendly service. This was my second visit to Liliana’s. I was so excited to be back that I forgot to take pics. The staff was friendly and just the right amount of attentive. Portions are very generous. I left full with a lunch portion worth of leftovers. I had Eggplant Parmesan which came with a large portion of red sauced pasta. My husband had a pizza. One friend got the Spaghetti and Salsiccia while the other ordered the Spinach and Goat Cheese salad and added calamari. The calamari looked delicious and I will definitely have it next time we go. The spaghetti with salsiccia has giardiniera in the sauce and comes with 2 huge sausages. We had house salads with our entrees. They were fresh and crisp and well dressed. Good food and good value
