Went for lunch with five other friends while they were having clear music fest with live musics in many of the bars/restaurants. It was pretty busy, but the whole town was busy because of the fast. Service was excellent in fact better than excellent. Lisa was astounding. She was personable and was very helpful with any questions you may have had. The prices were competitive, but the food was excellent. I got the dill pickle fries, which are not dill pickle spears. They are much thinner than that and actually the breading stayed very crispy (served with ranch). Two of the other people had the berry salad which they both said was delicious. I ordered a chef salad, which was really good but needed to be served in a bowl. I think it would’ve been a lot easier to eat from a bowl since you couldn’t really toss it up on a plate once you put the salad dressing on and there was more lettuce than was needed. One guest had the chili and Caesar salad and enjoyed. My husband had two orders of the Mexican street corn dip and liked it. After living in Mount Pleasant for years, and the food quality going way down with prices going way up in that city this was so refreshing! I may have to choose to drive to Clare from now on.

I was a little nervous when my French dip came to the table looking very pale, but it was so good! The bread was the perfect texture, and the onions were on point too. The kiddo got the Tavern burger and loved it. We spoiled ourselves with the churro dessert and it was worth it. Our waitress was good too.
The bathrooms were decent, nothing fancy and could use some updating, but not bad.

Our 2nd time here. First time we came we just had drinks and thought we definitely need to come back. It’s been awhile as we live an hour and some mins from here.
Had the tavern burger . I had fries my husband had the onion rings . It was all so good . Our waitress was so sweet . We will definitely be back when in Clare.

The burger was cooked perfectly. That can’t be understated. I asked for medium and it was just right and the beef flavor is amazing. The chicken and waffles was awesome too. The flavors were great, the waffle homemade.

This place was great! We stopped in for lunch a dessert and we loved it! The servers were very prompt and professional and the food was great! Definitely try dessert too! The braided pretzel was a great addition to the meal as well! The cheese had good spice but not overpowering. If you’re downtown stop in. You won’t be disappointed.

8” pizzas weren’t good, soggy bread, taste was decent but small and not as good as I would expect for the premium price as compared to Beaverton Tavern pizza or Riverwalk Places new appetizer flatbread that is amazing for $16 and 2x the size.
Pasta tasted bland and was very small for the price $16 when I’ve had Honey Stung Mac n Cheese at Riverwalk Place that was 2x bigger for $20. And just tasted like something worth going out to eat.
Went there trying to find and support local businesses on a date and heard it was good place but maybe we hit them on a bad Saturday at 6pm. It was all decent but they need to raise the bar a little bit because I think this place could be awesome. Great location, great interior and exterior seating and if they step up the food it would be awesome.

We enjoyed a jalapeño wrap and nachos. The nachos were unique flavors, which i enjoyed, and the serving size was large, but my plate has lots of chips and not quite enough toppings for the quantity of chips. Good flavors though. The jalapeño wrap has spice to it and very good flavor. The portion size was plenty to fill your stomach. The place was busy, but we did not wait for a seat. Comfortable atmosphere.i would visit again

The atmosphere was easy going and stylish, the food was amazing!
Our service was truly excellent as we had the pleasure of being in the polite and thoughtful care of Krystal R. who was a phenomenal server!!! She never left us with an empty drink, she was kind, quick, and enjoyable to have near by.
We don’t get many dates nights with our busy lifestyle but we sure were glad we got to take this one. What a lovely time and what a wonderful establishment.
My recommendations? Try all the food! Those cooks know what they’re doing!
