Overall, the meal was average, and given the higher prices, we were looking for a bit more of that traditional Mexican spark. While the staff made us feel very welcome, it probably won’t be a repeat destination for us when we have a craving for Mexican food.
Food is 5/10 fajitas , nachos ,tacos al pastor , didn’t pass, quesadillas were good , they dont find the seasoning i guess , but let me explain so get my point
Tacos al pastor with bqq sauce? Thats not correct.
Fajitas were completely burned they over heat the pan understand it should be hot but this were burnn a lot not some !
They dont have mexican drinks ( orchata , jarritos sodas )
I will try again and see what happened 🙂 like all ways do .
Food is 8.75/10 fajitas , nachos ,tacos al pastor great, quesadillas were good, love it. Everything was fine and good. Waiting time is also acceptable. Come here and have a good time.
I ordered the chicken chimi and a sweet tea.
Everything needed salt. The chimi was bland, the rice was bland, the beans tasted like they can straight from a can. The lettuce was good. Chips were ok, salsa was good. The tea tasted like water, with the slightest hint of tea tannins. No hint of sweetness.
The CCQ (their version of queso), it was also terrible. It had a distinct flavor and texture of plastic cheese. It must have some amount of Velveeta in it. That’s exactly what it reminded me of. It was truly an insult to queso sauce.
Finally, it was $60 for two chimis, a water, a sweet tea, a kids chicken enchilada ($12?!? That’s insanely expensive for the tiny serving!) and two kids orange juices.
I for one will never revist this terrible establishment and will always encourage my friends and family to avoid it.
No amount of friendly customer service can cover up the aweful food.
The tacos were bland and poorly assembled, with dry meat that tasted like it had been sitting around far too long. The tortillas were cold and lifeless, doing nothing to hold the mess together. The salsa lacked any kick or freshness—it tasted more like watered-down tomato sauce than something meant to complement Mexican food.
Portions were unimpressive for the price, and the overall quality felt rushed and careless. Even the atmosphere couldn’t save the experience; it tried to be fun and festive but came across as loud and chaotic instead.
If you’re looking for bold flavors, fresh ingredients, or even a decent meal, Clancy’s Cantina isn’t it. There are far better options out there that actually respect Mexican cuisine and your wallet.
