Thank you for a beautiful, healthy, delicious, satisfying lunch on a banana leaf!!! I cannot tell you how long I have waited to have this experience. And Yash Banana Lead Restoran in Cameron Highlands became that lucky place for me.

Highly recommend shop. The food was really delicious. We took the banana leaf set and add on with fry fish and chicken chettinad. The fry fish was crispy and hot. Chicken was not so spicy , good taste. The staff was friendly and the service was really good. RM50 for both. It’s a worth price compare to other shop. Indians who visit as family or couple is highly recommended here .

We had a fabulous authentic non vegetarian lunch here today. The banana leaf plate was an authentic touch to the experience. We polished the meal off with a masala tea with nutmeg. Highly recommend.

If you’re in the mood for South Indian cuisine, this is probably the only truly authentic place in the Highlands. I won’t name names, but some of the other highly rated Indian restaurants here don’t come close when it comes to genuine South Indian flavors. This place stands out for getting it right.
Service however can be improved a bit during peak hours as some of the items were served cold.

We had dinner the night we arrived to Tanah Rata and had the best experience.
The staff is so kind and the food is really tasty. So fun to have dinner in the banana leafs like in southern India and everything was delicious.

We got chicken masala (mild – 10RM), chicken varuval (spicy – 10RM) and roti canai (3RM). Asked for a side of plain rice which came out on the banana leaf with pickled vegetables, papadoms and Dahl (10.90 RM) so not sure if they do just plain rice. Either way we’ve never tried Indian food this way before and really enjoyed it. Thanks chai masters!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant due to poor service and unfair charging.
We ordered 3 banana leaves in total:
• 1 banana leaf was completely plain — no food at all, just an empty leaf
• 2 banana leaves only had rice and papadom — no vegetables, no curries, nothing else
Despite this, each banana leaf was charged RM7.90.
Charging RM7.90 for rice and papadom alone is already unreasonable, but charging RM7.90 for a completely plain banana leaf with zero food is absolutely unacceptable. This is not fair pricing by any standard.
When we questioned the bill, the staff could not give a proper explanation and kept blaming the owner, saying the owner would check via CCTV. However, when we asked them to call the owner directly to clarify the charges, they refused.
To make matters worse, the staff casually offered a “free meal next time”, which contradicts their own claim that everything is monitored by CCTV. This solution was unprofessional and made no sense.
All we wanted was a proper explanation or fair compensation for being wrongly charged. Instead, we received excuses and blame-shifting.
This experience left us very disappointed. Until this issue is properly addressed, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Enjoyed the food here. Fried rice, cauliflower and mutton curry was good. Roti canai was freshly made but was average.

The Poori, Prata and Tosai is really good and inexpensive. They make only when you order so it is super fresh and crispy! Their Teh Terik is also super solid. 10/10 recommended! Wanted to try their fried cauliflower but I think is not available for breakfast.
