Unassuming Italian restaurant with less than 30 seats on Culebra. The great dining experience….. A big smile as we walked into the door, Great music selection with great audito quality, authentic taste on linguine Clams with white wine sauce, lasagna. The best restaurant in town.

If you’re looking for authentic, home~cooked Italian food, La Sorrentina Italian Restaurant is exactly the place. This isn’t one of those fancy, pretentious spots where the atmosphere overshadows the food it’s the kind of family-owned restaurant that makes you feel like you’re sitting at Grandma’s table. The flavors are outstanding every bite tastes like it was made with love and tradition, the way Italian food should be. Quality comes first here, not labels or appearances, and that’s what makes it so special. While some people might drive by looking for chandeliers and golden tables, those of us who know the real value of food and family can appreciate the comfort, heart, and authenticity this restaurant delivers. A special mention goes to the waitress she was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and somehow handled the entire place all on her own with grace and a smile. That kind of dedication and hospitality is rare, and it truly made the experience even better. La Sorrentina is a hidden gem where the 99% of us can feel at home, eat well, and enjoy food that reminds us what family means. No need to dress up or pretend just come as you are and leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Had dinner here with a friend on 11/2. It was a little hard to find as the restaurant is set back from the street. The food was excellent! I had the penne a la vodka that came with a salad. My friend had the ziti and the tortellini soup. Both meals were great and we each ended up taking food home. We split a tiramisu for dessert and it was light and delicious!

The penne à la vodka is to die for!!!
I used to get this place to go all the time when I lived on the west side and I still highly recommend it. It’s a smaller mom and pop shop, but their quality and portions are stupendous for the price you pay.

Hey Folks! Let me tell you something! This place is amazing! It may not look like much from the outside when you arrive but its what’s inside that counts! My wife found this place on google reviews for great Italian dishes, and coming from out of town for a day trip we wanted it to be worth it. Man, we were blown away with the service, the ambiance, and most importantly the food! Its definitely worth the trip and I promise you won’t be disappointed! We arrived for lunch and they made it an enjoyable experience. For a family of four, it didn’t break the bank either. We will definitely be back for future trips to try other dishes but this place is fire ! Check out our dishes, and see for yourselves! A shout out to our wonderful waitress (Desiree), thank you for your service. Keep this in mind, if you do plan on dining in plan ahead and get a reservation before you arrive. Place has limited space.

This is our first visit to the restaurant, and after reading reviews, I noticed a recurring comment about the importance of reservations. We visited for Sunday lunch and found only one other occupied table. We were greeted promptly and asked about a reservation. Our server was attentive, though not particularly warm. My wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed their lunches, while I found the veal to be pleasant but unremarkable. There was an unfortunate incident involving a customer and a reservation mix-up. Overall, I recommend making a reservation. The food is quite good, but the restaurant’s decor feels dated and could benefit from an update to complement the menu. We plan to return, hoping for a more welcoming atmosphere.

We had such a wonderful experience at La Sorrentina! Everything we ordered was truly delicious.
The salad was fresh and crisp, the chicken parmesan was perfectly cooked with amazing flavor, and the cheese bread was warm, cheesy, and a total hit at our table.
We also tried the soup, which tasted homemade and comforting — just like something grandma would make. On top of the great food, the service was fantastic.
Everyone was so friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. It’s rare to find a place where you can enjoy amazing Italian food and also be treated like family. We’re already planning our next visit because there are so many more dishes we want to try.
Highly recommend La Sorrentina if you’re looking for a cozy spot with authentic flavors and warm, welcoming service. We’ll definitely be back!

Cozy Italian spot with a chill and pleasant vibe. The waitress is super friendly! It’s a one-of-a-kind dining experience—you can tell they’ve won the “Blue Plate Award” multiple times. The food is a bit pricey, but totally worth it. Highly recommend the cheesy garlic bread and the gratin mushrooms—both are fire! Everything was crazy good!
