Social Profile:

Doc’s Porchside is an homage to the founding member of the Scholer family, Doc Scholer. Porchside symbolizes the place in southern homes where family and friends gather: the front or back porch. The porch is where friends and family drink, eat, listen to music and tell stories better than they were told the last time. We pass our family history down to the next generation on the porch. We watch football, share meals, share a drink with those we love on the porch. The people who know us best don’t come to the front door. They walk through the gate and come to the porch, because they know that’s where we’ll be. We greet each other with hugs and hard slaps on the back, tossing a beer from the cooler and telling friends to pull up a chair.

We had a wonderful experience here! This place is much roomier than it looks from the outside. Our food came out very quickly and it was all great. The burnt ends appetizer was amazing. The Doc’s sampler as well. I had the brisket grilled cheese with tater tots. The Husband had the brisket platter and loved it. Next time we’re in Augusta, we’ll definitely be back!

Doc’s Porchside has a lively, relaxed atmosphere and great Southern comfort food. Their Club Sandwich is stacked high with flavorful meats—a true classic done right. Don’t skip the Cheeseburger Sliders, which are juicy and perfectly seasoned for a quick bite. Friendly service and a great porch setting. Highly recommend!

Dennis was our server and he was great! Honestly the food was hit and miss. Some of the wings were cooked too hard, the sausage in the shrimp and grits were burnt, and the stuffed french toast bread was extremely hard! Very disappointed in the food quality, I had higher hopes and expectations prior to coming here.

The kids enjoyed their tenders and fries, so I guess that’s what matters most.

The smoked wings were dry. My kid got a burger and asked for medium it came out dry and over done. Looked like a Bubba burger from a frozen box. The breading on the shrimp is nasty and is not crispy. The breading on chicken sandwich is the same and not very good tasting at all. The burnt ends were not all that good and very small in size. The fries are battered and dont taste good. This place is just a bunch of fried food and lack luster cooking. I wont go back. Judge for yourself but the pictures online look good but the food sucks. I give it a one star because the food is not as good as Sonic burgers. The service was great. My waitress was attentive and frequently visited our table. Atmosphere is like it was when it was wild wing Cafe.

We will return the next time we are in town from: Atlanta, Barrow and Gwinnett counties! Hands down this was an absolute phenomenal experience! Hayes, the manager was fantastic prior to and yesterday when my family (20 guests) gathering took place. The food was delicious and the customer service was top tier from the management as well as the servers who took great care of us. We have no complaints whatsoever and highly recommend Doc’s Porchside!

I went last night to watch a basketball game I can’t get on my TV at home. The waitress was really nice to change the channel so I could see it. I ordered a diet soda and I noticed that since I wasn’t drinking alcohol I was rarely talked to by the wait staff. I picked a menu up on my own and ended up not ordering anything because everyone else was only drinking and not eating food which tells me that either the food is horrible or I’m going to look weird being the only person eating. There were several people leaving the restaurant that needed to physically be carried out because they were so drunk and could not walk.

I enjoy the concept of what they are trying to do with the live music. The band was pretty good although the volume was insane. I had to put cotton napkins in my ears. I would think that the staff should do a class action lawsuit for their loss of hearing. And I LOVE MUSIC. So, I’m just saying.

Apparently this is the go-to place for getting intoxicated and drinking home.

Stop for a (hopeful) quick bite to eat on our drive home. Food was great, service was awesome. There was a mixup with our food and one of the meals came out way later than the rest of our food but our server was right on top of it and was very polite and nice. It was a great meal even with the small mishap.

Tea was great!
Isabella was awesome and had great customer service
