The original slide and oh so good. They have several new items but the original is best, you must have it with mustard. The people were fun, they had me laughing and you could tell they enjoy their work. This is a destination icon that I hope lives on for another 100 years.

Being from Colorado we dont have an actual White Castle just the frozen ones you get at the grocery store. My fiance and I drive 40min just to try it and it did not disappoint. The chx rings were delicious and just the right amount of breeding and the ff were good as well. Happy we made the trip.

Absolutely great! Coming from Florida and having Krystals – White Castles nailed it!! No need to pile on the condiments. The burger was delicious all by itself. I also tried the chicken rings instead of fries. Hands down ‘ I’d take White Castles any day – but I’m sure you already know that! This location was clean and we were served with a smile. Thanks for a great experience!

I ordered food from here yesterday, the burgers were cold, and thrown together. The Mozzarella sticks were burned. The young lady working the drive thru was unkempt, her hair was not combed. She did not wear gloves when gathering my food. She was touching in her face, which is unsanitary. I could hear staff laughing and joking.

So, I literally hadn’t been to a WC in 30 years. (Usually I went after a night of drinking at 2am..lol.)its just as it was 3 decades ago. It is what it is. Its a White Castle. Tasty and Nasty at the same time..lol. Im definitely going back the next time I am in Gurnee.

Very rude service at the drive through. They told me I wasn’t ordering properly. I asked for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich combo. The order taker said I didn’t say combo. Fortunately I caught on the pay screen and said that’s the combo? He said no you said sandwich only. Last time I checked, there’s a big difference between only and combo. Ive had poor service at this location in the past as well. I only went there because I do like WC breakfast.
