The food was delicious. I want to drive all the way back for the cornbread!! They seasoned and fried my catfish to perfection. I read the reviews about bad service, but our cashier was friendly and welcoming. And we were asking a BUNCH of questions. The location was small for an eat in establishment, but perfect for carry out. I would definitely recommend and if I’m in Tampa again, I would surely visit. I didn’t try my other meal but included the pictures, it looks good. Fyi…I forgot to take pictures before I started earning

I don’t even know where to start with this review, from the ladies who took care of us to the INCREDIBLE shilah I ordered.
For starters, we were greeted from our car as we were parking. As soon as I heard that, I knew we were in for a treat! Being welcomed in before even arriving is just hospitality at its finest.
Onto the food. I ordered the Snow Crab shilah, and let me tell y’all, I’ve dreamt about it ever since. The flavors in every bite were incredible; I was so full after eating half, but I couldn’t put it down it was THAT GOOD! Oh, and don’t skip out on their lemonades, especially the Blue Mermaid!
I’ll be counting the days until I’m able to go back. The ladies I talked to there were lovely, the food incredible and deserving of every recognition.
If you’re in the area, check it out. If I lived closer, I’d be there near daily. 10/10, highly recommend!

The turkey wings and rice 10 out of 10 recommend!—full of flavor and cooked just right! The greens were pretty decent, but they are made a little sweeter than I like. The fried crabs were good too!, but the batter was a bit thick, so it had more of a bready taste than that crispy fried vibe. Still, overall, I will be back!

If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. They must be giving people something for these reviews. This is by far the worst soul food restaurant I’ve been to.
I ordered turkey wings and I got the end piece along with the bone from the leg. There were other pieces of the leg but no actual wing. I will say the flavor wasn’t bad. The greens weren’t that good. Now the Mac and cheese was horrible. There was no cheese other than on top. I will NEVER EVER eat here again. I have no idea how they got good reviews. Trust me people if you want good soul food this isn’t the place

The food made me feel like I just came home to grandma dem. Catfish was good. Mac and cheese was on point. Not much parking or space so if its busy order to go. I support the black owned everywhere I go and I love us even if we don’t.

Dope establishment great mac n cheese, was definitely the highlight! Oxtail was tender and juicy. The turkey wing was well-seasoned and plentiful. Chicken wings were fried to perfection. We enjoyed everything but the greens, just a little too salty for our taste, but the yams helped covered that up.

My to go is always the turkey wings with a side of yams. My husband usually tries something different. This time he got the baked chicken. Both dishes so tender, full of flavor, and great portions. The owner and family very welcoming. Must try if you haven’t yet!
