Yellow is a popular DC spot for a reason. The food is consistently delicious, well made, and full of flavor.

The Georgetown location has a great vibe with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Inside, there are distinct areas including a lounge-style space and a main dining area. The open kitchen adds energy to the experience, and the bright colors make it feel like you are someplace else entirely.

We visited for lunch and ordered the smoked chicken sandwich along with Moroccan green tea. The sandwich was juicy, smoky, and very satisfying. My friend ordered the lamb sandwich, fresh tangerine juice, and their signature soft serve made with vanilla ice cream topped with pomegranate syrup and molasses. The soft serve was rich, creamy, and delicious.

Even though it was busy, we were able to find seating easily. Our food came out quickly and the service was friendly and efficient. The décor, overall vibe, and curated merch selection were all highlights.

Their hummus is also excellent, and I would happily return to try more items on the menu.

Overall, really good food made well with solid flavor and a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit in Georgetown.

I’ve been seeing Yellow pop up all over social media, and it absolutely lived up to the hype.

The croissant was fresh and perfectly flaky, with just the right amount of filling—and it was as beautiful as it was delicious. The coffee was solid as well.

The space is roomy with a thoughtfully designed layout. Although it wasn’t very busy when I stopped by, everything was spotless, and the staff were attentive and quick to clear empty trays.

The only drawback is the lack of WiFi, which may be inconvenient for some guests.

Despite that, I’ll be back to try some lunch options soon…

Been to Yellow a couple of times now, and never disappointed with their Pita options

As a vegetarian, I’ve tried the
Falafel pita: This is absolutely amazing and definitely recommend it for all

Cauliflower pita: This is a great option, but I prefer the falafel pita

Red Shatta Hummus: Amazing hummus, loved the texture and the flavors. The seasoned pita with hummus was really really good and paired great with the hummus. The spicyness and flavor from the Shatta was great

Overall, a great place to have nice Mediterranean food. Would love to visit again for their “Not Pizza” options offered later in the day

Be mindful of the wait times to get a seat on weekends as the place is always full

What an incredible casual spin-off from Albi. The creativity and quality of the food is exceptional, and the service was informed but also amiable, all against a clean, modern but still vibrant and warm decor.

We had the batata tots (delicious), and the spicy lahm bi ajeen (not) pizza: jibne, cherry tomato, toum, preserved corn, herb salad and the soujek (not) pizza: armenian beef sausage, jibne, pickled chilis, za’atar honey. The (not) pizzas were extraordinary.

The gin cocktail I had was super solid, too. Well balanced and refreshing.

Can’t wait to return. I honestly liked my experience overall at Yellow more than Albi, and on par with La’ Shukran.

Cute spot to come in from out of the drizzle today. The chicken pita was hearty and delicious. I really liked the music soundtrack and comfy seating.

The color theme and whole vibe is happy, modern, and fun. It is located on a shopping street and set amongst all the beautiful Georgetown residences.

The dirty chai was lovely too. Definitely would come back agin!

YELLOW, a very distinctive place in Georgetown. Noticeable for the yellow color palette and memorable for the food.

We had gyros, pita, hummus and something that looked like fries tofu but it was hash browns. Fantastic, it was the most tasty thing I had that day. We sampled a few of the drinks and all were good.

A little cold to sit outside in the winter but bearable if you’re dressed right. Seating is limited and people are courteous to not linger too long to give others a chance to sit and enjoy. Nice atmosphere, service and great food selection. We went there for a bite while touring Georgetown.

I highly recommend giving YELLOW a visit.

Had Yellow recommended to me. I am visiting from Dallas and had zero idea what to expect. From outside, there was a line that moved a lot faster than I expected. While in line, I was able to look at the menu and some of the recommendations. What I planned to order they were out of…I went with a recommendation of the person taking my order and the bbq lamb shoulder wood fired pita was next level. Also had a baklawa mocha and that was really good as well. There was no place to sit so when I received my food, there was a standing table near the napkins, water station that faces the yellow oven and I was able to eat my pita while waiting on my coffee. I didn’t know anyone and there were no tables available so this worked out well. I may go back there for dinner – yes, it’s that good.

We always find ourselves going back to Yellow Café, and their lamb shoulder is hands down the best! It’s melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with flavor. The smoky chicken is really good too—juicy with a nice smoky kick—though it’s honestly hard to stray from that lamb once you’ve tried it!

Pretty good, but in my opinion not worth the long wait especially considering the prices. Falafel pita was satisfying, the urfa-thing bagel with whitefish much less so. Baklava croissant was delicious. Dirty chai was much closer to a latte than a chai.

Atmosphere is okay. Probably better if there’s not 10-15 people crowding the cafe while standing in line or waiting to get their orders. They tack on an employee wellness fee too, and we weren’t even given the option of a receipt.
