While staying at a local B&B, we needed to find a bite before settling in… and out of the options we found online, this stood out.
Our group of four couldn’t have been more pleased!
After a little wait, we sat down to a phenomenal offering far beyond what one may expect from a pub!
The appetizers were incredible and provided a variety of culinary textures and tastes, followed by large servings of entrees that were equally delightful, flavorful, and hearty!
We were far too full for dessert, but were intrigued by the selection.
The staff was busy but friendly and the decor exudes comfort with the eclectic visuals one expects in any quality pub.
This goes down as a great find that we will definitely return to when in the area again!
Highly recommend!

Unreal spot for a day trip out from Booth Bay Harbor. My sister-in-law brought their newborn which the restaurant was more than accommodating for. Even brought him out a little rubber ducky.
Savage pint of Guinness, dad had the Smithwicks and all were proper pours.
Now we move to the food. We did the dozen oysters and they were up there with the best I’ve ever had. Super fair price point as well.
Dad went with the bangers and mash, I went for the steak & ale pie. All was to die for. Wife got the crab cake burger that she demanded I cover in this highly anticipated review – she loved it! Lastly, I consider myself a coleslaw connoisseur and it truly was the finest slaw in this great land. All hail King Eider!!

Food is average. Atmosphere is very much a Pub. The food is typical pib food. service is what you would expect. I particularly like the pint mugs thay decorate the ceiling in the down stairs area. No complaint on the food or service for what it is. It is a bit gimmicky, but that works for the area. Parking is free in the shared lot behind restaurant. Not handicap friendly. not vegan friendly. The building is reminisce of an old port house ( which is what it is) …. so there is a history there.

Everything we had here was so worth it and absolutely delicious! Brittany W. crushed it as our waitress—super friendly and on point. The spin dip, Greek haddock, haddock sandwich, duck rice bowl, lamb flatbread, oysters, Irish cupcake, and crème brûlée were all amazing, and the cocktails were just as tasty. Such a fun spot and an awesome find! 10/10 recommend!

Excellent prime rib and fixings. Although some believe that craft beer is trendy, I would prefer maybe a choice of a yuangling or something else. Get here early if you want to sit downstairs in the very lively pub.

My partner & I dined here for the first time this weekend. We were seated at the O bar, which we truly enjoyed. Our server Julia was very attentive & welcoming! The oysters were amazing. The manager, Marina did an excellent job de-escalating an issue at a table near us. They truly make you feel welcome, the atmosphere was great, & the food was better. We will be returning!

My wife and I had another great dining experience at King Eider’s Pub! We have eaten here just about every tip to Maine over the past 25 years. We started with fresh Damariscotta River oysters. The baked oysters were on point. The lobster roll was delicious on perfectly toasted bun. The cozy, historic pub atmosphere, with its brick walls and warm vibe, made the meal even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the local craft beer selection paired wonderfully with our food. We can’t wait to return to this gem for more of their stellar seafood!

Stopped for lunch on a trip up the coast with my daughter. We made a solid choice. Decided to split a bowl of seafood chowder of the day so we could sample it. With fresh herbs it was solid. She had a lobster roll with crispy fries that she thoroughly enjoyed. But I am here to talk about the oysters. I have been eating oysters for over 40 years and these selects were the best I’ve ever tasted by quite a bit. A dozen super fresh and expertly shucked with most of the liquor still in the shell. My brain wanted more but my stomach refused due to these being huge plump oysters. The lady that took care of us was super friendly and provided us with an excellent experience. Wish I lived closer as I would make this a regular trip. Good grief those oysters were good!

Great service and great food. Amanda served us near the bar and did an awesome job. Some of the best oysters we ever had. Best seats in the house with table for two in little room next to oyster bar.
