My daughter and I ate at Molkaxete Mexican Restaurant on Perimeter Drive in Chattanooga on December 29, 2025. We had the distinct honor to have Jorge as our server. I haven’t ever seen service this great! He is fast, friendly, accurate, and all over every need you may have. It was unlike anything I have experienced.
Jorge kept a smile on his face, was present before needed, and made sure to ask if we needed something staying ahead of everything before we even had a chance to ask for it. I have had great service before, but service like this is hard to explain and even harder to come by. I was completely and pleasantly surprised!
I am telling you, you need to go to Molkaxete Mexican Restaurant on Perimeter Drive by Auto Zone off Lee Highway, ask for Jorge and be prepared to be blown away by exceptional customer service! I am forever grateful for having experienced it as it is very rare nowadays!

Ok I read all the reviews and I have to say I was not disappointed. The salsa is chunkier than normal fare but seasoned nicely. The food. Well it was hard to get pictures because we kept eating the plates…lol Wilson was our server and as previously reviewed he was fast efficient friendly and attentive. Our lunch was out in mere minutes in fact I had not even had time to really enjoy the chips and salsa. We each had a speedy Gonzales lunch so we had a taco hard shell which was very good just the right amount of everything. And an enchilada. The enchilada was full and not small or second rate. The red sauce split us a bit. It had a bit of a A-1 steak sauce bite to it. I could not discern if it was vinegar or something else and while it was not to my taste my co worker literally raved about it. I had beans with mine she had rice. The beans were cooked down and the way I love them. Literally scraped the plate clean. Co worker had rice it was a little el dente. But she mixed in some queso and had some cheesy rice and liked that. Firmer rice works when adding liquid cheese sauce to it in my opinion. I have included some pictures but like I said we dived in before I could take them it was so good. Overall 5 stars try it!

The food here is really excellent. The chips and salsa is so fresh, even something simple like queso was outstanding. I got Fajita Mexicana that came out sizzling and delicious, my wife got a veggie taco salad that she loved every bit. Recommended!

This restaurant is very busy but the service is fast. Our server was so pleasant, always ready to help. The food was delicious, and the restaurant had a great ambiance. It’s very simple but pretty inside. Also very clean. The price was great. Portions were very good.

This has been my favorite Mexican spot in Chattanooga for a long time.
I’ve tried plenty of places around here, and this one has always stood out. I don’t even like the food or cheese dip at the other location down the road, but I tried their quesadilla once and it actually had plenty of cheese – inside and poured on top. Most Mexican places are stingy with cheese, so just wanted to finally try that same quesadilla here at my favorite place.
I’m not even going to bring up the fact that last year a waiter asked me and my friend to leave right after we finished eating because “people were waiting on tables,” even though there were plenty of open ones. That was rude and shocking enough.
But today really disappointed me. I ordered a quesadilla to go and clearly said I wanted plenty of cheese. The employee asked if I wanted to pay extra, and I said no – I just wanted to make sure there was actually cheese in it. I get home, open the container… and where’s the cheese? For the price they charge, that’s ridiculous.
Between the past experience and today’s overpriced, cheese-less quesadilla, I’m wondering if they e en care about their customers

This place was pretty good. No complaints about the food. The only “complaint” I have is the server was almost overly attentive…she was constantly asking if we knew what we wanted and standing there staring at us while we made decisions. And brought us “refills” when we had only taken a couple sips of our first drinks. It was a little weird but like I said, food was great.

Love this place! There food is always so amazing and they aren’t like most Mexican restaurants. Most are cookie cutter but this place actually has good flavor and amazing staff. Everything we eat here its always an all around good experience plus the motorcycle shop next door is a huge plus.

The salsa n chips are WOW!!!! THE first thing they do after being seated is that they bring you the most amazing salsa I’ve had in a long time. tasty salty savory and with the perfect amount of spice and Heat. By far one of the best lunch menus in the area. This lunch menu is super affordable with most dishes under 7$ and they have over 20 items on it. They Hawaiian pineapple chicken was quite delicious. You bring some nice things sliced chicken breast top with pineapples and mushrooms and it’s just lovely! He’s accompanied with rice and beans and cheese all over it and a side of tortillas to top it all off. Their version of Pollo Loco comes over rice drape with that delicious addicting cheese and also with a side of tortillas. The servings are quite large for being lunch servings. This restaurant is so affordable that this is a steal!!!
