For decades, Cekola’s Pizza has held a place in the community. Beginning in the
1950’s through 1972 Cekola’s Pizza was sold on the corner of North Street and Gull
Road at Cekola’s Grocery. From there you could find it on Portage Street at
“The Doors” until the tornado of 1980 destroyed downtown Kalamazoo. Finally
Cekola’s Pizza was sold at Star World, the first family fun entertainment place,
on S. Westnedge, from 1980 until 1991.
Very few things have changed since the early days . . .
(Now we use a spoon to stir the sauce, not our hands like
Grandma taught us)
We welcome you to Jac’s, where old and new tradition blended with family and
friends make for more than just Great Pizza!
Sports bar offering American chow & thin-crust pizza with several TVs, deck seating & craft drafts.

I had the white sauce 9-inch thin crust pizza with meatballs and mushrooms. It was very good. Also the service was excellent. Our waitress came back to the table many times to make sure we are being taken care of.
I look forward to coming back again saying to enjoy the dining pleasure.

Fun atmosphere with games for kids, a pool table, and tv’s. Big beer selection.
The food the was subpar. Ordered the special and essentially got a buffalo chicken nugget sandwich with a subpar basic cheeseburger. The pulled pork was decent.
I’d come back for the beer and sports, but not the food.

We were waiting for a table originally at Texas Roadhouse and kept getting the run around and continually told it would be a 30 minute wait because we had a guest in a wheel chair. Someone in our party recommended Jacs and we were incredibly impressed. Not only was there zero wait they also were on top of everything with food and drinks. Our server Sydney was great! Highly recommend them. We were so happy with our food and multiple specialty drinks order. Great job Jacs we will definitely be back.

The food is okay. The pizza is not good. The server was nice and efficient. Nothing great about this place, especially for the price.

Every time we eat in or get take out, this place is fantastic. The food is great, service always fantastic. I highly recommend the wings. Their wings are the best in Kalamazoo. With that being said I have yet to order anything that was not delicious. 10 out of 10 chefs kiss

We lost our favorite pizza place (Buddy’s Detroit Style Pizza) and was told this place is good so we tried it for the first time today. We had their Cekola Special Pizza which is thin crust and we like it a lot.

I had the most unexpected experience the other day. Driving down Westnedge, I watched a beautiful rainbow form, and much to my surprise, it seemed to land right on top of Jac’s Pizza in Portage!
Once I walked inside, I knew I had stumbled upon my very own pot of gold. The food is simply spectacular—it was magically delicious! I wouldn’t be surprised if they had a leprechaun in the kitchen stirring up some magic to make it taste so good.
