I recently tried AltThai in Arlington Heights and had a great experience. The food was really flavorful and everything tasted fresh.
We ordered quite a few vegetarian dishes and honestly enjoyed all of them. The fresh tofu rolls, spring rolls, tofu satay, veggie pot stickers, and veggie egg rolls were all really good starters. For drinks, the Thai iced tea and mango nectar were both delicious.
For entrees, we tried the mixed vegetables rice dish, basil fried rice, Pad Kee Mao, and Panang curry. Everything was well seasoned and full of flavor.
They also have live jazz on Sundays from 6 to 7:30, which is such a nice touch and makes the atmosphere even better.
Overall, a really solid Thai spot in the Arlington Heights area and definitely worth checking out if you enjoy Thai food. Will definitely be back!!

We had 9 people for dinner. The server was great, respectful and quick. The atmosphere is cozy, good decor and welcoming. The food came out very quickly. The food was decent. We had many dishes from panang curry, red curry, pad kee mao, curried fried rice, crab Rangoon, egg rolls and something else (I can’t recall). We prefer food very spicy and this was below our threshold even if it was stated as xhot. Good place to take a date and prime location in downtown AH.

Tom yum soup was exelent along with the shrimp stick, dumplings and the red curry ( they ran out of green curry but we were flexible) and the service was awesome we would love to come back here.

Went on a double date here and had the best time ever. The food is great, the service is great and our servers were very friendly. The only thing I remember about the food is 1. the deep fried ice cream (??) which I was not a fan of but the rest of my group was. and 2. the Thai iced tea. Dear God, this tea changed my life. I cannot recommend anything more. IT IS SO GOOD. I HAD TWO.
Overall, just amazing, and the decor was absolutely insane. So elegant and warm!

Came here as I’ve been wanting to try this place out. The ambience is welcoming and colorful, and service was prompt and efficient. This isn’t my first time having Thai food, so a little curious as to how it would be. The crispy appetizer plate was excellent, and I absolutely loved the shrimp sticks. I got pad see ew and my husband the salmon. The pad see ew had that classic smoky taste, just wish there were some more veggies with it. My husband said his salmon was good, but did not seem as spicy as he ordered it. Overall I enjoyed this place. If I am in the area again, I would list this up as a place to go to again.

I was recommended this restaurant by a friend, The food was excellent and we enjoyed our dinner very much. The place has modern but cozy atmosphere. Restaurant isnt super huge, so if your planning to go on a Saturday night after 6pm make a reservation. We got in just the nick of time and were able to get seated in about 10min. Wait staff were kind and responsive in handling our table.
Park in the underground parking garage, blue stalls are free. 7 foot clearance, i was able to park my truck.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. The Tom Yum was Tom Yum in name only — it was basically just a broth with no real depth of flavor. The shrimp and squid were bland and had no taste, and they didn’t come together as a balanced dish. It felt like two separate ingredients simply added to a sweet and spicy broth, without the signature flavor that Tom Yum should have.
On top of that, they forgot to bring one of the other dishes we ordered.
Sadly, I cannot recommend this place.
