The atmosphere is really lovely! The service is also great. However, the food is absolute trash here. There’s nothing Italian about it. I just stared at my eggplant parmesan because I’ve never seen anything like it before. It’s not even close to an authentic Italian dish let alone a fusion Italian-American style. It was so bad I could not finish it. The salads, the dressing, the bread, all terrible. Olive Garden probably has better food than this place.

Don’t expect good food. Everything is mediocre; garlic bread was barely toasted and lasagna tasted like store-bought frozen lasagna from Trader Joe’s. I’ve had thousands of better penne Alfredos, and steak wasn’t seasoned at all.
The service was not great. My friend ordered a Philly sandwich with sweet potato fries, and they brought him a steak with French fries!!! They even missed the chicken on our pasta.
If the atmosphere is important to you, you’re not going to find many better places in South Bend/Mishawaka but when it comes to food quality, I believe it may disappoint you!

The booths are comfortable and spacious. Now the food was amazing. The spinach artichoke dip is fabulous. The daily special Voodo pasta, the Ruben, and scallops and risotto all hit the spot. The drinks are even delicious. The reason I rated 2 is due to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I judge the kitchen cleanliness in the bathroom. There was dirt packed into grout that looked years old. The baseboards were filthy. Also around doors are not clean. Heading to the bathroom you can see the kitchen entrance. There were various brooms and mops but the wall was filthy. For an upscale restaurant, you would think they would hire deep cleaners for the bathroom and occasionally the kitchen. At least once a week. The bathroom looks like only the toilet and sink are ever clean. If they are leaving the bathroom to staff cleaning. They should hire a service and update and paint the bathrooms. Some other areas also appear dusty and could use attention. It’s a simple fix. I can only imagine what the men’s restroom looks like. Good food but needs some deep cleaning.

Date night with my hubby! The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back! My first time there is definitely a WIN! Appetizers we’re Nachos with beef-artichoke dip with pita chips. Tomato bisque was a bit sweet but delicious. I had the house salad and my hubby really enjoyed the Caesar salad (he’s kinda picky so the fact that he ate it and didn’t push it to the side really says something to me). He had the seafood Florentine for his main dish and I had the Rosemary lamb. Now, Villa Macri has me looking for lamb chops at every grocery store… Like I’m going to recreate something?!?! Maybe I’d better just go back to Villa Macri!

Went roughly a month ago and the food was very good! The atmosphere is very dark, which wasn’t expected, and I did pinch my finger in a broker chair seat as I scootched in, which caused a blood blister…but that’s there the bad ends! Service was very attentive and friendly, and the food was overall very good. I wouldn’t get the mozzarella triangles again, but they’re homemade and crispy (if that’s your thing – it’s not mine). My favorite was the Butternut Squash Ravioli that I ordered – it was amazing! One of my favorite dishes but I don’t see it on menus often. I look forward to going back and trying more, as the penne and fettuccine dishes that the other members in my party got looked very good, too!
