My recent visit to this establishment, chosen as a secondary option, revealed a consistent experience with Golden Krust restaurants I’ve encountered in New York City. The customer service, unfortunately, mirrored previous interactions, conveying an impression that our patronage was an inconvenience. I ordered the “Large Jerk Chicken” plate, which, in my assessment, more closely resembled baked chicken, lacking the distinct characteristics of jerk preparation. When I requested jerk sauce, I was provided with a minimal amount, insufficient for a large platter.
The quality of service was unfortunately consistent with the food. I would advise against patronizing this location. The plantains, in particular, were notably rubbery and appeared to be past their prime.
A superior alternative, located just a seven-minute drive from this site, is “Nice ans Knuff.” This establishment consistently offers welcoming service, readily accommodates sauce requests, and expresses gratitude to its customers. My decision to visit the current location was solely due to the closure of “Nice and Knuff” on this particular day.
Consequently, I will not be returning to this Golden Krust location, nor any other in the future.

I had the opportunity to stop at this wonderful place that was recommended to me. Their food is very delicious, their portions are very large, authentic, Caribbean food. I also recommend it. I will definitely return for more. I loved it. They are very friendly with the customers.

The service left much to be desired. A major concern was hygiene; the server had noticeably long nails and was serving food without wearing gloves.
The food itself was a letdown. While the shop was clean, the culinary execution was poor. The patties were particularly unappetizing. A side dish of boiled bananas was also prepared incorrectly; they were boiled in the skin, which made the texture hard and left a strange, stain-like taste.
Overall, the quality of the experience mirrored the negative reviews I’ve seen online. I left understanding why this place consistently receives poor ratings.

Best Jamaican food I’ve had in a while. I got the rice and peas with oxtail and 4 patties. Everything was very delicious and very fresh. It was very clean in there also and the people were nice and fast. The 25 min drive was worth it for sure!!!!

I ordered 3 full meals and 2 extra sides of Mac n cheese. They forgot to put it in my bag and made me come back to the store to pick it up. No sorry, and then my jerk pork had no jerk sauce and was very bland. The girl wanted me to pay .50 per each small vile they made. On top of coming to pick up my missing items. I was very disappointed with the service and accountability. My bill was $68 for 3 orders. Made me late to my dentist appointment, and waste of gas.

My wife got some rice and peas and oxtail and some chicken on the afternoon of Saturday 2/7/2026. and by the next day everyone in the house who had any of the oxtail suffered symptoms of food poisoning- specifically vomiting and diarrhea. 2 of my kids, mother in law and cousin were all sick. Today the kids are home from school, i had to take the day off work. We missed the superbowl party yesterday. I wonder if anyone else who bought this dish there on Saturday experienced the same issues.

When the previous staff was there customer service was better. I bought a large soup some months ago and they put only corn in the soup and I don’t like corn. I went in the store and complained about it. I guess the staff didn’t like that because yesterday I went in the store and bought a large chicken soup and instead serving the soup from the front the girl came from the kitchen with soup. When I went home two big pieces of corn in my soup. I will stop patronizing this place. Their food is good but the staff well not all of them are fake. The old staff with Jackie and the other girls were better.

The food is delicious. This was my first time and the man on register kept rushing me, even after the person I was with explained it was my first time. There was no one in line and she was explaining the items on hotline and how the orders are put together. I was really ready to go and was glad when he went to cook. The lady serving was so nice and explained the making of the black cake. I was so grateful to her for helping me. The food is delicious and they offered a nice portion. Place is more for take out but they have a few seats. Prices aren’t bad either. Thanks for being nice.
