This was recommend to me by my best friend who hadn’t been in years but said they use to be awesome. Boy, was he right! Just driving up to the establishment, you could tell it was nice. Parking was plentiful. As soon as entered, was seated promptly and Kevin and Jacob waited on us. Their service was spot on, great servers. Started out with cherry coke and iced tea. Was awesome.they then brought bread and butter out that was fresh. Next we both got salads and both were plentiful. My friend ordered the chicken modiga with broccoli as side and I myself ordered the Cavalli con broccoli. When they came out, I was surprised. The portions were more then pleasant and piping hot. I would Def recommend this place instead of having to go all the way to the hill for great Italian food, this is a hidden gem in south county off telegraph. Cost for 2 of us was only $68, what a bargain for all the food we ate, the quality and the amount we still took home as doggy bags. Was an awesome atmosphere as well. Classy but still laid back.

The ambiance and service are great. I think maybe I just thought the carbonara would have longer noodles and it threw me off that it was the shorter ones. Plenty of food and there were leftovers.

Just happened by this restaurant, felt like Italian, therefore PIZZA. This place has a very impressive menu! Not just your usuals. The salad was absolutely delicious! The bread brought to the table was also good. We ordered the prosciutto and pesto pizza. It came to the table a work of art. And just as delicious. So many flavors to this pizza. Neither of us like thin crust but this crust was an exception……very good. Our server was very nice & attentive and had a genuine smile! I’d love to go back.

I’m so disappointed with the mushroom appetizer that I got because you barely can taste the crab. My son had a big plate of red sauce spaghetti with 1 pretty good size meatball with red sauce. My husband steak was okay, but would rather get Texas Roadhouse for the price you paid for.

I went here with my family and had a great Italian dinner. Everything we had was delicious. We had 2 appetizers, mussels and calamari. Highly recommend.
The sauces for the meals were as good as any I’ve had. Reminds me of back home in NY. We will be going back.

The food was very good, looked and tasted delicious. Lunch portions were very nice, enough left over to take home. All the food at our table looked tasty. I had the lunch special Pasta Bolognese with a huge meatball…. very good. The bread was warm and fresh. You even got either soup or salad with the special. Great deal.
I would have rated overall higher but our waitress looked overwhelmed. She did not return to refill any sodas, we waited quite a bit for our entrees after we’ve all finished our soup or salad, then waited for to go boxes, waited for checks, then waited for debit card receipts. We were also crammed into 4 tables with 6 on each side, with no elbow room to enjoy our tasty meal, one more table would have solved that problem. I will add, we were a large group, but there was another server helping her. It was at lunch time but the restaurant was not overly busy. I hope this isn’t the normal wait times for service here because it’s a nice place with very good food and we’d like to try it again.

Booked this place for my father in law after funeral luncheon. They were great! Food was delicous, portions were big, alot of folks took to go boxes. Seemed very reasonable for feeding a crowd of 40 plus, while making everyone feel well cared for like my father in law would have wanted.

Gianino’s is a hidden gem in South County! Don’t miss the amazing lemony goodness of Chicken Spiedini!! Chicken Picatta is yummy too. For an appetizer, we always get Eggplant Parmesan or Toasted Ravioli Sicilian style. They have gluten free pasta options AND don’t forget to take home a couple Gianino’s frozen pizzas. We love this place!!
