I do not normally write bad reviews, but for a small family business, I think they should provide good customer service esp phone etiquette. I’ve always loved their food and support small, local, business-owned restaurants, but for the first time, I couldn’t pass up the rudeness and the tone of voice of the person on the other end of the line. I placed an order for DoorDash delivery, and it gave me a completely incorrect order. I called Smith’s about it, and the lady on the other line just bluntly said, ” The dasher picked it up and must have delivered it to the wrong person, that’s not our problem anymore, you can call doordash” Nevermind I didn’t have lunch at all but I would have understood that if the tone of voice was empathetic rather than the voice of rudeness. When I asked for the information, she just hung up the phone. I understand it can be a very busy place, but there’s no excuse for being rude. I don’t think it’s too much to ask to have some kind tone over the phone esp in this small town.

Second time stopping here for lunch and both times the food was delicious. Staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable. A great selection of daily specials along with the regular menu. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Confused as to how this place has a 4.5 star average. We saw the great reviews and tried it for breakfast this morning. Below mediocre! Eggs were dry and tasteless, sausage was okay/not great, French toast had no flavor at all. Will not return. Only positive was the service- friendly and quick.

Usually have a decent time here but couldn’t get any service this morning for breakfast. We were sat and that was it for 20 minutes. No drinks or anything. Servers just kept walking by while the restaurant was pretty much empty.

Good place to atop into and try some tasty finds. Only thing I would recommend is the bacon is to crispy … for a club sandwich. Chicken tenders & side salad were good and waitress was terrific.

Just visited for the first time, will not be our last! Food was so good, portion sizes were generous and prices were excellent!! Highly recommend trying it if you haven’t. Such a hidden gem in the middle of a Thrift Store!

Rt 13N just leaving Seaford, De, you will find Smith’s Cafe (inside a thrift store). Good place for comfort food, excellent service and the opportunity to shop for a treasure before or after your meal. Menu has lots of selections from salads, sandwiches and home style meals. Today we had the Turkey and stuffing dinner and shepherd’s pie. Both were very good and so big we had to take half home. Prices very reasonable especially when you are really getting two meals out of the servings. Check them out when you’re in the area.

What a fantastic place! Hidden inside the thrift shop. This diner is a must stop. My wife ordered the shepherds pie and I got the meatloaf with Mac & cheese and stewed tomatoes as my sides. Excellent all way around.

I’m sick and tired of ordering pick up -drive there, pick it up ang discover things missing!!! Horrible horrible place tried calling -wireless customer not available no please leave a message. I ordered COCONUT Shrinp basket which comes w a coconut dipping sauce -got none was suppose to come w coleslaw -none… and u want repeat service????? I think NOT the last time I ate in, food cold, didn’t get our sides, had to tell the waitress.
