A bit disappointed. After eating at all the national steak restaurants we decided to try the local option. First the good: the ribeye was very good. It had a nice char with good beefy flavor. Clearly a prime cut with nice rendered fat. Medium is pretty red here, which was great for me, a bit to rear for my wife. The service was a bit out of sorts. We had multiple servers, but they covered it. A nice loaf of crunchy sourdough bread was very good. The wedge salad was over dressed. The flavor was good and I suggest ordering dressing on the side. The real downfall was the crab cake. It was more like crab flavored paste patty. It was all blended with no visible crab. Certainly not even close to the quality expected. Resist the temptation to order. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff is very nice. For the price, I expect much more.

We had such a wonderful dining experience here at Elway’s. The waiter was so polite and attentive, always making sure we were taken care of. The wine was excellent and the bottle presented and poured with etiquette. The service and atmosphere here could not be any nicer. The holiday theme in the Ritz-Carlton lobby added a very nice ambiance to the restaurant. Everyone was very happy with the appetizers, the sides, and the steaks.

I went to celebrate Thanksgiving and it was a delightful experience.

On Thanksgiving Day they have a special menu, or you can choose their traditional menu. The food is delicious and the culinary offerings are interesting. I wish they would add a side dish to the turkey besides the carrots, but it was undoubtedly spectacular. The desserts were a gem.

The service was magnificent, both from the waiter and the manager. We had a minor issue that the manager resolved in a surprising (and pleasant) way. The friendliness, attention, and service were excellent.

It’s a must-try in Denver, and I would definitely return.

I recommend making a reservation.

What an amazing evening at Elways. My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary and couldn’t be more impressed with Elways. This might be our new favorite steakhouse in Denver. The staff was so delightful for a Monday night that is typically slow. We had amazing ceaser salad, lobster Mac and cheese, truffle fries and the best charred ribeye. We got the homemade ding dong for desert and will forever order this for desert. The wine selection is wonderful as well.

Lamb chops were overcooked. Sweet potato cubes were raw. Turkey was tough. For a holiday meal, I had higher expectations. Service was good, but slow on the drinks, even though they were not very busy.

Ill stick with Eddie Vs in the future.

I enjoyed the perfectly cooked salmon, my wife loved the excellent smash burger. Jay Cole provided 7 star service with friendly hospitality. The best place to celebrate, Elway’s has great ambiance. We hope to visit again soon. Save room for amazing fresh baked cookies with ice cream.

The food was awesome, but Steven proved that the right server can make a meal. Not only did he force me to return my steak after it was overcooked, he explained why most restaurants get the temperature wrong on a bleu steak. Plus suggested a great wine to go with. And he was so entertaining to our group. 10/10 will visit and ask for Steven again.

Excellent steakhouse. We shared the Bone in Ribeye as well as the Lamb chop green chile fondue. Highly recommend this dish. Unique and delicious!

We had one of the worst meals in recent memory at Elway’s this evening. This was my first time at the Downtown Elways location. I had previously been to the location in Cherry Creek which was very good. We had a reservation for two on a Friday night and the place was empty.

We started off at the host station where they told us that they were having a meeting in the dining room and that we could wait it in lounge or bar area. We sat in the bar area, although instead of coming to get us to let us know our table was ready, they sat 3 other tables before they acknowledged us.

The server was friendly and came out to greet us quickly. We started with the grill artichoke, which was undercooked and really wasn’t editable, for $20 we did the best we could 2/10. The salads were a nice way to start the meal off. I really liked the house salad, the dressing was great and it was a nice sized portion 6.5/10. The other salad we had was the wedge with the dressing on the side. This salad is fine and straight forward but nothing exciting about it, just less than a quarter head of lettuce for $17, 5/10. For our entrees we ordered what you would expect to order at a steakhouse, steak! What I would expect from a steakhouse who is charging close to $100 for their steaks is that they knew how to cook them, they did not, both were terrible. I had the porter house, mostly raw, order it medium rare, zero seasoning, just tasted like eating cold cow 2/10. My girlfriend had the ribeye on the bone, ordered medium, cooked over well done, just tasted charred like you would not believe, 1/10. The manager did come over and I did let him know that the steaks were not cooked as we ordered. He was very gracious, apologetic and offered us a free dessert, which goes a long way. For sides we had the Thai basil and bacon Brussel sprouts, 7.5/10 and the mash potatoes, which were pretty good 8/10.

The dessert course, which the manager offered us was alright, the cheesecake was a real winner, maybe the only thing I would have come back for 9/10. The chocolate chip cookies were not baked all the way, gooey, very sweet and on top of more chocolate which made it worse 3/10.

All in all I will say that for $325 with tip, this had to be the the worse meal I have had. I will not be coming back to Elway’s ever again. You go out to a great steakhouse because you want a great steak and Elway’s failed to deliver on that promise. There are plenty of good steakhouses in Downtwon, Elways’s sadly is not one of them. This sport does have a good vibe, but there are plenty of other places to take yourself out to. Let me just say, I go out for a lot of meals every year and enjoy reviewing places. Obviously this is my subjective opinion based on the experience I had, but I expected so much more and feel extremely disappointed. I don’t enjoy writing bad reviews, but want to let Elways know, there is a lot of room for improvements.

We recently dined at Elway’s at The Ritz-Carlton in Denver, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The service was absolutely top-notch, with Scott taking such great care of us throughout the meal. His attentiveness and warm demeanor made our evening even more enjoyable.

The filets we ordered were, hands down, some of the best steaks we’ve ever eaten—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. Another standout for us was the croutons on the salads; they were so delicious that we joked we’d come back just for those!

As for the sides, we had mashed potatoes, mac ‘n’ cheese, and homemade fries, and every single bite was fantastic. The flavors were rich and comforting, exactly what you want from a high-end steakhouse.

A huge thank you to Candace Duran, the Director of Sales and Marketing, for her outstanding hospitality. She went above and beyond to make our visit truly special, and we are so grateful. Her attention to detail made our evening one we will remember for a long time!
