But tbh DJ after him was rough. But great place. Staff was amazing, drinks were good. Very accommodating. Venue and staff were great.
Posh advertised the NYE event as having FREE tickets — no fine print, no conditions, no warnings. The site looked polished and professional, so we trusted it and made plans around that information. When we arrived, dressed up and ready to celebrate, we were suddenly told at the door that we had to pay $60 per person to get in.
That is the definition of false advertising.
We showed the staff the website. They didn’t deny what it said — they just insisted we had to pay anyway. At that point you’re already there, it’s New Year’s Eve, and your options are either cough up the money or have your night completely ruined. That’s not a mistake — that’s a scam.
To be clear: no hate to the security guards. They were polite and were clearly just following instructions. This is a management problem. Someone made the decision to mislead customers online and then pressure them at the door when it was too late to go elsewhere.
If you advertise free tickets, they should be free. Not “free until you show up and then we charge you.”
Extremely disappointing and dishonest business practice. I won’t be returning, and I strongly recommend others think twice before trusting what this venue advertises.
Unfortunately, the biggest letdown was the service. I paid extra for upgraded seating, but our server never came by to take our drink order, even though every table around us was being served. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited, expecting someone to check in but that never happened.
During the intermission, we went to the bar ourselves but the service there was slow there too. By the time I reached the bar, staff were already telling us to return to our seats for the show to restart. Frustrated, I let somebody know we had yet to be served at our table and thankfully I did manage to get a drink at that point at the bar but it felt like more effort than it should have been.
Later the server finally came by and I let her know my disappointment. I asked her to please stay on top of our drinks moving forward, mentioning that I like to have my next drink before I finish the current one. She acknowledged but we never saw her again.
At the end of the show, when shots were being handed out to the audience, our table was completely missed. I had to flag someone down to make sure we received ours. We did get them, and they were good but again, we would’ve been skipped if I hadn’t spoken up.
At the end, my friend and I only had one drink each the entire time. That’s a missed opportunity for the establishment because the drinks are $25 after tip and we absolutely would’ve ordered more if we’d had the chance.
Besides the service issues, I’d still recommend the Christmas burlesque show for the performance itself which was really enjoyable. But for the price of the ticket and the expectation of table service, I hope they improve the overall experience. A show like this deserves service to match.
