We placed our order at 1:23pm and didn’t receive our food until 51 minutes later. Our oder consisted of two burgers, one hotdog, three orders of fries, two shakes, and one soda (that you fix yourself). I don’t feel like they were very busy just very slow. When customers would ask what’s taking so long the staff would just say they’re working on it and we’d just have to wait. One guy asked to speak with a manger and a lady yelled up from the prep area and said, “I’m a manger and you’ll have to wait until 3 o’clock to talk to me”, it was 2:34 at that time. Another customer asked for his money back because he couldn’t keep waiting and they told him that the registers are automated and they can’t give him a refund. They were so far behind yet at two different times the grill had no burgers on it for several minutes. The men’s restroom was very dirty. Once we actually received our food it was very good. If they were understaffed or undertrained they should have either close the dinning room or the drive thru. I will NOT be back.

After waiting 50 minutes for my order, I was disgusted with what I found. I had a to go order of a Frisco sandwich and a double cheeseburger, an order of fries and a milkshake I walked to my car and checked the order. My fries were already cold, the hamburger patties looked like bites had been taken out of them, but the worst was a black hair right on top of the Frisco sandwich. I was not the only one not satisfied with their food. Diring the wait, an older gentleman told me his food tasted off. He stood up with his food and walked to the trashcan and threw it all away. He said never again. I have the same opinion. Never again.

I normally enjoy coming to Steak ’n Shake, but tonight’s experience was honestly shocking. We arrived at 9:15 p.m., fully expecting to dine in since the door clearly states the dining room is open until midnight. Instead, a young woman told us it was closed. We accepted it—until our order came out marked as dine-in. When we asked another employee, he casually told us the dining room was open. The fact that we were lied to for no reason was incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable.
What happened after that only made things worse. I witnessed multiple disrespectful comments directed at the older gentleman working, coming from a much younger employee who was openly rude and unprofessional. The entire atmosphere felt tense and uncomfortable.
The cleanliness of the restaurant was even more alarming. There was food scattered across the floor, despite the store being completely empty. And the most disturbing part: I watched an employee eating food while cooking—using the same gloves to handle customer food that he was using to put fries in his mouth. That is a major health violation and absolutely disgusting.
I know this location can be better, but tonight was genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Something needs to be addressed, because what I witnessed was far beyond just “a bad night.”

Service was fine though I didn’t love using the kiosk. Our food was good and the restaurant was mostly clean. My only complaint was that the floor was very sticky.
Service was slow but hopefully that is temporary due to the hiring market. The fries were great and my daughter liked her burger. The shake was too thick for my taste but that is personal preference. My big complaint was that the gluten free burger was parts stacked on a plate with only flimsy plasticware to eat it. A lettuce wrapped burger would be much better.

Ordered a frisco melt and large cheese fries. Opened up the cheese sauce in a cup of chili size container. It was a couple cm deep. Basically enough cheese sauce for a small cheese fries. (I’m doing this review bc I’ve never had a horrible experience at Steak and Shake like this). Then I open up my Frisco Melt. The burger and everything inside the bread was cooked fine. The problem was the bread was raw sandwich bread. Not buttered or grilled. It made me wanna throw up. I don’t know what was happening tonight but this was insane and I’m really annoyed with this experience.

All the positive steps Steak n Shake has made over the last few years, whatever this location is doing, has set them back. First time I’ve been in a fully automated (server-less) location , and will definitely be our last. Only employees in the place were the two cooks and one person calling out order names (no one cleaning tables) They even have the nerve to ask for a tip on a process you do 95% of the work. This was the furthest from a traditional Steak n Shake experience I’ve had. We will not be back.

Really impressed with the food here. The tallow cooked fries and burger stood out right away. The Birthday Cake shake was excellent. Drive thru service was fast and friendly. Had a small issue with the Diet Coke and they fixed it immediately. Will be back.

I had the triple steak burger and the chili cheese fries. The steak burger was a fairly tasty greasy burger but a bit too salty. The chilli cheese fries were quite good, I really liked the shoestring fries! I did not like the fact that there was no manned register at all, only 4 ordering kiosks with only one accepting cash. I see this as a detriment to the otherwise charming diner atmosphere. They should have a friendly person to greet you when you come in the door.
