The food was great, decent price,£15 pound for a steak which isn’t that bad considering it’s eat in. Steak was cooked perfectly however slightly cold. 9.5/10 On the other hand, the sides were amazing, the aubergines had a slight tanginess from the tomato sauce that was beautifully mixed. 9/10 The Mac and Cheese was also delicious stringy and Mac was good it just melted in your mouth. 10/10 The mash was beautiful as it was slightly salty but texture was great, smooth and not too liquidy. 10/10. Creamed spinach was nice and soft. But to my preferences it wasn’t the best side. 8/10. Fries were okay fresh, crunchy on outside but just ordinary. 7.5/10. Bernaise and peppercorn sauce was lovely too. The popcorn was nice but they need to chill on the salt. Free ice cream was great too, wanted to buy a small cleaver but couldn’t . After 5PM. Overall, the server was nice too, dim settings resulted in a calm area with good vibes.

First visit after talking about it for a while with my partner, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. We made a late lunch booking and service was prompt from the start. We upgraded to the Wagyu sirloin (450g) to share and had it medium rare, the only way to do it, and it was absolutely delicious. Paired with peppercorn sauce, we also ordered a trio of sides, from beef dripping chips to crispy bone marrow garlic mash and truffle mac and cheese. Every bite was thoroughly enjoyed. Drinks were great, and most importantly, this place offers incredible value for money. The complimentary ice cream at the end was a lovely touch and very tasty. Friendly, responsive service throughout made this a genuinely pleasant dining experience.

The flat iron is ok but not very outstanding but the side dishes are amazing. The truffle mac and cheese is the most delicious one. The size of the drinks are good enough for the whole meal and the free ice-cream is a bonus.

What a visit! Were there for a champions league match and stumbled into Flat Iron thanks to their menu in the windows.

Got free popcorn and water for the wait, a very nice and cozy atmosphere and an incredibly friendly waiter. Big shoutout to Aldo, who lifted the evening to a whole new level.
Steak was great! When I didn’t enjoyed English-rare, Aldo didn’t hesitate to get my food back to the kitchen to let it be cooked to medium. Didn’t even take s minute.
Drinks were also top.
Icing on the cake was a few softice when leaving.
Will remember this for a long time!

Will was excellent, so attentive and so friendly. Some of the best customer service in a restaurant I have received and will definitely be coming back again and again on this experience alone. Deserves a promotion haha. But genuinely as someone who eats out a fair bit and cooks a lot, the food is stellar for the money and the service second to none.

I have frequented Flat Iron in London but never left a review. Decided to give the Manchester restaurant a go and it didn’t disappoint. I got two Flat Iron steaks and my partner got one. They were cooked so well and full of flavour and for just £15 a steak it’s such good value. The creamed spinach is always a fav for me. Highly recommend.

The steak was excellent – perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavour. The side dishes were also very tasty and well prepared. A particularly interesting touch was the popcorn served as a starter, which was a fun and unusual idea.
Unfortunately, there was one major downside. When we received our ice cream at the end of the meal and wanted to eat it at the table, we were asked to leave because ice cream is only available as takeaway. This was very disappointing, especially since it was cold and raining outside, which made the conditions far from ideal for eating ice cream. I did not like this policy at all, and it negatively affected my overall impression.

11/10!! One of our go-to-places in manchester. The steaks were amazing, the sides were delish, and the drinks were so good!! My partner ordered the wagyu one and omg you could actually tell how much better it was from the flat iron steak. Loved loved the complimentary popcorn and ice cream too! So worth the visit!
