We read about their Cabilnasian calzone “challenge” and came to try it. While they don’t do an official challenge anymore, it was certainly huge and pretty difficult for one person to finish. We wished there would have been a little bit of marinara sauce inside to help with the dry crust, and a little less ricotta. The rest of us tried their deep dish pizza and a couple other things, and everything was so good!! Their pizza crust is very bready, extra thick, quite nice.
It takes a long time for the pizzas to be made.
We sat outside cause it was a beautiful day (patio is dog friendly) but the inside looked cozy and fun too. Server was friendly! Also, very good prices.

The mashed potatoes were decent but the bacon hamburger Mac was absolutely disgusting! It wasn’t creamy. It has a nacho like taste to it which was weird. The description didn’t mention g ANYTHING about tomatoes being in the dish and that’s a huge no no as a restaurant

Ordered a Cheddar Bacon Burger and it smelled good in bag but lettuce was brown towards rotten spots and burger meat didn’t smell edible up close. looked good afar though. Fries were meagerly ok. I will not be back. Service took awhile to get and atmosphere was friendly but not worth eventually getting food poisoning.

Great pizza and they don’t scrimp on salad. The small canoles have some sort of cinnamon flavor instead of vanilla, but I like them. Lol. Fast, efficient direct phone in ordering. Kind staff. I don’t use doordash. It was karaoke night and the guests looked like they were having fun. Perfect for out of towners because they are open late.

Super friendly staff and they all had great customer service. We went there for WWE and they put it on for us with sound. Great people and great vibes all around. The food and cocktails were amazing and we’ll definitely be back again and again

Nick’s place is very comfortable and I know it will be comfortable for you with great food and great service.
I’m a 65 years old from last July and been coming here for rest and peace of relaxation watching all the sports games on the televisions.
My children love the place and they’ve been telling their friends all about the restaurant sports bar. God is good to bless us with a nice place to eat at, and knowing that the service will be just right for you with a smile.

Nick’s Place is a great neighborhood bar for watching any type of sports. We came for a Hoosiers watch party, and the vibe inside the bar felt like we were immediately family. It’s not an upscale place and had very limited parking, but the waitstaff was friendly which goes a long way. The menu offers typical bar fare, Italian and Mexican dishes, so there’s something for everyone. We ordered the calzone stuffed with pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions which took one hour to come to our table. We immediately cut right into it, and found the temperature to be room temp and not piping hot. The flavors were just okay. We also ordered potato skins which were very good, but the kitchen ran out of green onions. Not a problem but we weren’t told this and the plate was just served to us like that making us have to stop someone and ask for onions at the very minimum. The pours of whiskey were just okay but the Guinness was decent enough. All in all, the experience was good but not great.

It’s a cool cozy place where you can take a date or a few friends to play pool or have a few drinks and still hear each other. No crazy loud music. The only thing I’d suggest to the owner is to consider having a social media either facebook or tiktok or both which are the most popular ones at the moment. It would help keep regulars and new potential customers know about the updates and events. Just have fun with it. Post specials, events, etc. People will confidently step into a territory in which they have information about ahead of time. You guys aren’t providing that and your website is literally a zombie website. If it wasn’t for the fact that I’ve lived in Houston so many years and driven by this place multiple times, I wouldn’t have considered it. TVs should be programmed accordingly to the recent events on sports to allow some type of entertainment while sitting down. If TVs are on, make sure they’re real time sport events.

The vibe in here is pretty chill. Didn’t try the food this time, but it smells great in here. Will definitely come back to try it out. Drinks are reasonably priced

This was our first time at Nick’s (1-16-25) after making a decision to get a different hotel for another night in the Westchase area. We were looking for a bar to go to that was fun and had good food/vibes. I believe we hit a jackpot at this neighborhood bar. Everyone was friendly/personable. There were several games to play in the patio area and a pool table inside. We hit karaoke night. Our food was REALLY good and our server/manager was a lot fun too. We failed to get his name . We’ll definitely be back!
