Haleigh was a great waitress! Will be back. We came for dinner and had the shrimp spring rolls which were hot and fresh. We then had several sushi rolls: Cowgirl, The Fire Shrimp, the Shrimp Square, and the Carolina Girl! Everything was delicious.

Absolutely loved our experience here! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From crispy appetizers to savory fried rice and mouthwatering sushi dishes, everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a fun gathering with team. Definitely a new favorite spot—highly recommend!

Very disappointed in the food & service. 1st the waiter forgot to order my father’s dinner. 2nd, we all paid for a shrimp dish and were given bay shrimps. I asked the waiter and he said they are always that small. I’ve never been to a Japanese restaurant that doesn’t serve jumbo shrimp. None of us ate it. I don’t eat bay shrimp, period.
Waste of money. We weren’t even offered anything for the waiter forgetting to order one dinner, making us sit there waiting 15 more minutes.
Will never return to any Irashai.

Finally drove to Greenville to try the new location. We”ve enjoyed Irashai from its original location through the two that followed it, so we were disappointed to find it has lost a few stars. The mussels were great as always, our rolls were hit and miss, the cheesecake was frozen solid. The huge space can accommodate parties but the cozy atmosphere was gone. There are great servers from the old place there, but we didn’t have one.

Food was absolutely out of this world! We started our meal with the Garlic & Parm Edamame (not pictured) which I would eat every day of the week. Then come the Mussels Yaki (not pictured, wish so badly I did picture.) Guys, these mussels were stars of the show, even though the entire meal was a broadway cast!! The house cream sauce was drink-worthy. I would’ve put it in a cup with a straw if given the opportunity.

Onward to the sushi. From left to right, we ordered: Daniel Morgan, Triple Threat, and the Sweet Chili Crab. Every single roll was delicious and we couldn’t pick our favorite!

Our bartender was kind, attentive, and made a great Tom Collins.

The restaurant was a relaxed “pub”” style sushi joint, but it was perfect for our date night, nonetheless. It could work for a family dinner, a work dinner, or a dinner with friends. They have a bar area, TVs, and an outdoor seating area if you prefer. We will be back!

The location on Congaree was our go to spot so we went to the Woodruff location bc we just had to have our sushi! Bradley was our server and he was awesome! We ordered our usual and my son had the chicken hibachi. Everything at this location seems even better…portions taste better and look bigger. Atmosphere was on point and upbeat! We’ll be back!

Irashiai has been my favorite Japanese restaurant for years!
I’ve always had a great experience here. Actually they’ve moved locations a few times, but it gets better each time I think.
This location is very nice and open inside with a much larger outside dining area.
I really enjoyed the new menu items. Especially the lunch menu.
I had the kimchee fried rice with Katsu, YUM!

The birds nest was excellent – and it was demolished before I could snap a pic. Got pictures of our rolls – so good!

We all enjoyed our food. It’s my wife’s favorite sushi place. The food is always tasty. This was our first time at the new location. I’m deducting 1 star for the location (Garligton rd is a nightmare) and the host sat people right next to us when the whole restaurant was practically empty. That has always been an issue for me. Our server was fantastic.
