The price was appealing, but my food was not. The soggy tortilla on my Classic burrito had far too much greasy cheese and partially cooked hash browns. It was a drippy mess destined for the trash can from the first bite. I was really looking forward to trying Blake’s, but now I don’t the disappointment was worth the effort or the money.
Step it up Blake’s, or Whataburger is gonna swipe all of your clientele!
You’ll find me there next time.

This Lotaburger is awesome! Such good burgers- we had an Itsaburger and a Lotaburger with cheese and green chile…so delicious…and the staff makes it fun as well. One of our favorite lunch places in Taos & we love to eat at an outside table in the sun

We love this Blake’s. I had heard about the new Itsa Burritos. The carne adovada was excellent. Get 2, because they’re small. That was a great breakfast, and the staff who took our order, and the young man who brought our food out were great!

I visited Blake’s Lotaburger in Taos last night and was greeted at the register by a young ambivalent counter girl who was sneezing all over the counter and register as she took my order. After commenting to her to not handle my food unless she washed her hands, she spoke to her co-workers in Spanish (thinking I didn’t understand) a snarky response, and still never made an attempt to go sanitize herself or the register and counter.
Fortunately for me since it’s an open kitchen, I stood at the counter watching the person making the burgers bag and handle my food.
The hamburgers are interestingly made using what looks kind of like a clothes ironing press, but is really two hot steel plates cooking the hamburger patties. I ordered the New Mexico style double burger, unfortunately it only comes with American cheese and they don’t offer any other cheese options. I found the meat to be tough, thin, flavorless and of low quality, the bun was a large 5” and okay, but the green chili definitely had a nice zip of heat and flavor!
Overall, I was not impressed with the food enough to want to go back, but I sincerely hope they take time to better educate their staff on proper sanitary food handling practices and behavior.

Wish I could give a zero!!! Lady with the red hair was very rude and has a bad attitude. Very bad customer service!!!! That lady said in a very rude tone to the cook, “people are here” as tho we are bad or something. She was rude to my family member. We simply asker her if they were open because Google said they were closed. Thats when she started being rude and haveing a bad attitude. Came here before and lived it, but will most definitely not be returning, ever!!!

Good burger. I got the New Mexican style. Patties were over cooked, kinda crispy and dry. The chiles on it were yummy, I bet with a more attentive cook the burger would have been much better.
Seasoned fries were good.
It could use a makeover and a manager over the age of 20 running the place.
Doesn’t compare to Whataburger.
