Once we were actually seated, things improved. The place wasn’t bad at all, and the food smelled great. Our server (not the one who checked us in) was friendly and attentive. When the food arrived, it was genuinely delicious, definitely the highlight of the visit.
Overall, the meal itself was solid, and the service at the table was good, but the front‑of‑house organization needs some attention. If they can tighten up the seating process, this could be a consistently enjoyable spot.
My girlfriend got the Cap’N Crunch French Toast (cereal-crusted fried french bread w/ banana-flavored syrup + jam) and I got the Crazy Farmer (hasbrown, bacon, ham, egg bowl w/sourdough toast) or something like that.
Our portions were generous, and the food was great! The hashbrowns in my meal were perfect and well-seasoned, and my girlfriend’s french toast was incredible and not overly sweet!
The building is repurposed from an old Pizza Hut so it has an “open plan” seating arrangement. Thus, it was a bit loud at first, but we got used to it.
Thanks for having us! We’ll return!
Chicken fried steak: Probably the best thing here! The breading was on the thicker side, which probably helped it stay intact and crispy under the gravy.
Orange juice: This tasted pretty fresh! I would reccomend it.
Salmon eggs benedict: I enjoyed this, but the hollandaise sauce left a bit to be desired. Felt like it wasn’t worth the price.
Omelets: Massive and thick-walled. It’s not what I look for in an omelet, but my father enjoyed it.
Mini belgian waffles: The waffles are cake-like, soft, and airy. They’re great at absorbing syrup, but lacking in the crunch department. If you like fluffy waffles, you’ll like this, but it’s not my favorite. The raspberry syrup is okay; it’s mostly sugary and less fruity.
Iced tea: Fairly watery.
The magic-themed decor is fun, but everyone being put in a single large room for dinner leaves you feeling a bit exposed; it’s not as cozy as I would like a diner experience to be. Service was friendly.
